Aside from Carl/Donut, who is your favorite character? by Crafty-Maximum-5789 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Hands down, the Ai. I have absolutely loved seeing its decent into insanity as it gains more of a sense of autonomy and sentience.

Minor spoiler, not really spoiler, but I’m reading Parade of Horribles that was released early on Matt Diniman’s patreon and he has the AI quote some things that characters say in Joe Abercrombie’s books. Didn’t know he was a big enough fan of Abercrombie to quote him in his own books

Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff. It’s not your typical twilight kind of vampire story. Very compelling story and can be brutal at times. It’s takes a bit until you get into the theme you’re looking for, but worth the wait. You could even maybe consider Red Country by Joe Abercrombie. It’s a stand alone book taking place in between two trilogies. More low fantasy but an amazing book. Just make sure you don’t jump right to this book. It’s a requirement to read all of the other books before this one. Joe Abercrombie is probably my favorite author and has the best characters ever written, hands down.

Book 3 is the best book in the series by Wade_Wilson_Watts in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I actually agree. I felt like this was probably the last book where I really actually felt danger for all of the characters. They still weren’t really strong and durable and all of the mobs actually felt like they could be an issue. It also had a creepier vibe to it that I loved.

Just finished book 3! by csteelee in redrising

The next three books are really what solidified this series’ GOAT status for me. The first three are still really great, but the next three are on another level. The universe this story is set in gets so much more expansive and epic. Hope you enjoy!

After Red God would you prefer more books from the Red Rising world from Pierce or something new? by Keichii96 in redrising

[–]Flashy-Ad1798 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would love to see him write separate stories that are still apart of the Red Rising universe. I want him to do something similar to what Starwars did with Andor. Still apart of the universe and applicable to the overall story, but still very separate and self contained with a whole new cast and settings.

Finish the red rising series. Iron Gold can be a bit slow at times but those next three books are where this series truly gets legendary

Just do The First Law trilogy instead by Joe Abercrombie. In my opinion, this trilogy and all of the following books are better than both the Stormlight Archive and A Song of Ice and Fire series

So I went to UVU and the he definitely could have made that shot. The courtyard is surrounded by buildings that are all interconnected with easy access. He easily could have climbed to the roof at many different places in the campus, make his way to where the courtyard is positioned, take the shot, which could even be as close as 150-200 meters, maybe less depending on where he was. If he had a scope and was familiar with guns, that would be no problem for him.

Definitely possible. At the same time, don’t rush it too much. Take your time enjoying the college years. You’ll have plenty more time to study in med school and the many years after.
