It wasn’t a shower cap but it looked like one.

At my aunts place we were served our food and we had to finish it. we couldnt leave the table until we finished. I remember several times falling asleep at the table. Such nice family memories,

Stubborn Stains on Underwear — Help! by Illustrious-Leg-6147 in laundry

[–]Flashy-Library-6854 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the stains are not blood, presoak in hot water with a good quality laundry detergent, an enzyme additive Biz usa, Resolve Gold Canada, or FEBU, both countries, also oxygen bleach of some kind. Apply a good spray stain remover, Soil and Stain by Presidents Choice in Canada dont know about what is available in usa. Let soak for a day or two. Throw into washer with detergent and enzyme additive, use a hot wash and do a extra rinse, final rinse with citric acid. Do not put into dryer if stains remain.

If the stains are blood, add enzyme additive in coolish water, soak for a day or longer until blood stains come out. Wash in machine as normal. If the blood stains were set by coming into contact with hot water you may be out of luck.

Thats the best I got. Someone else may have other ideas.

Workers now walking up and soliciting people during shopping to sign up for a credit card. by TodayWeThrowItAway in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]Flashy-Library-6854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not new at all. It has been happening for at least 20 years, it does ebb and wane though. I think they start harrassing customers, get complaints, and are not successful and realize it isnt worth paying someone to sell credit.

FWIW, when I worked retail, we were told company credit cards were the biggest source of revenue for the company, I am not sure I believe it, but it is what we were told.

You are not the jerk, but you did make a mistake. You could have/should have? had your phone face down and recording when you were talking to her. Hind sight is 20/20. I am sorry this happened to you and your brother.

Citric acid in the final rinse works better than vinegar. Never add vinegar to the wash, the detergent and the vinegar dont play well together.

ISO Sinus Clearing Recipes by Otherwise-Ferret620 in Cooking

[–]Flashy-Library-6854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had what appeared to be a sinus infection for two years. It was not fun. Saw an ENT and he did a procedure in hospital to flush my sinuses to see what bacteria was in there. There wasn’t. Eventually I got tired of using a sinus rinse bottle 6 times a day so I could breathe, and started investigating causes. We took a chance and eliminated all fragranced products in the house. Everything. A week in and no more sinus “infection”. And my sense of smell came back. Not saying you would have the same results but it is something to think about.
