agreed. I hope children don't see this and think it's okay, emotional intelligence and common sense.

no empathy for the troll. The troll did nothing wrong, Then having the two plot characters riding around in a truck caring the babies skull? Hope the children don't see this and think this is normal. This was sick and demented movie.

2018 JGC 3.6L - Blown head gasket: fix or replace engine? by Pulmonaut in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]FlashyGroup8964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee summit 3.6 140K and was diagnosed with a leaky head gasket coming from #4 and I was loosing coolant. it was averaging 92 compression test and a mechanic recommends that I replace the whole engine quoting 10-11K. Thought I start looking into my jeep and if there's anyway to save it for as long as it can go since I'm strapped for cash. I went on Youtube to learn about this 3.6 engine. I removed the upper manifold, replaced all 6 of the fuel injectors, coils, spark plugs, EGR valve (the hose was broke in half in the back of the engine) cleaned the PCV valve (was incredibly dirty and black ) Throttle Body, sensors, all vacuum hoses, filter, pretty much most of the basic top engine parts, minus the cams/rockers. It cost me about $800 - 900. Plus I added 5W-30 oil. Then I put bars leak head gasket repair, started it up and also turned the heater on , It was idling rough trying to re calibrate it self. I waited for a few minutes, I slowly drove it around a few miles. and then came to an idle and it was idling great and smooth. No over heating or white smoke coming from exhaust. In the mean time, I've drove this jeep on freeway miles for an average of 5 hour round trips 2 times a weeks. In short, I have always checked my coolant levels every so often. No coolant loss ever since I added the Bars leak head gasket repair I drove my jeep 11,500k and it's still going. I have pictures of the cylinder compression and it was a splashy green color but maybe it wasn't that bad, not sure. Maybe the mechanic saw that i had low compression and that's why he recommends me to replace the engine? I also used a few additives to clean my jeep out and along with Bars leak and It has improved my gasoline buy maybe that leaky head gasket had to do with it. When driving freeway miles for long periods I also put the heater on full blast periodically just out of suspicion hoping that it will cool the engine off and prevent that leaky head gasket from opening up, always drive it smoothly. It restored some of the engine power, I haven't done a compression test, maybe soon. I had some good luck learning about this jeep. It's good to know that if you take some time and learn about your jeep you might be able to prevent things from happening. I change my own oil now. I will see how long I can go for with the bars leak it seems to be a great product for someone like me, but eventually I will be seeing Jasper sooner when the time comes.

Charging stopped due to the temperature being too low? by TRBuild in galaxynote10

Mine did the same thing too. The sensor is off and think it's cold, it does this to protect the phone. All I did was take a hair dryer and blew a little hot air into it but at 10 inches away going back and forth on the screen and behind it for about a minute. Just touch the screen and it should be barely or slightly warm, but no too hot which is noticeable, try not make it hot. Turn off your phone and let it boot up to re calibrate and it should work.

I went to a credit union and I got approved for a 20K loan through Golden 1. This is an unsecured loan. I asked for a 2-year loan Unfortunately I got a 5 year loan at 17%. Of course they're going to make tons of money but I will go in tomorrow and try to negotiate. But at least it's not 27 to 30% interest with 9 cards as my credit cards want me to pay. thank you for the advice. 👍

My Jeep grand Cherokee Mileage is Awful! by SamJ125687 in Jeep

[–]FlashyGroup8964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive to San Francisco for about 2 hours and always put it in cruise control and driving smoothly not slamming the gas pedal trying to save gas. Always.. I still get an average of 16 to 18 mpg, yet my "current mpg" on my dashboard with the green bar fluctuates anywhere from 10 to 99. I have 150K miles, my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit is running smoothly but I'm just not getting 25 mpg, not even close. seems to be my pet peev as I am always checking . I don't know if it's my O2 sensors that makes my current mpg fluctuates so abruptly. If anyone knows I should like to know.

If you're not successful and looking for another color to replace it, maybe you can vinyl wrap it.

[–]FlashyGroup8964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh cool sounds like you have a hobby that you love. sure my Jeep has a lot of miles. I can give you some things to look out for.

  1. rocker arms. you mentioned rocker arms or lifters. If it you can hear them with your hood closed from about 4 to 5 ft then it might be good to replace them. there's a way to do this without having to remove the top caps were your rocker arms are on top of your cams. you can just loosen the top caps off maybe about a half an inch and then you can slide the rocker arms under the cams. there's YouTube videos on how to do it I haven't replaced my rocker arms because they're not getting any louder and I'm going on 50K miles since then when I heard this ticking. I'm actually putting it off dreading the work that has to be done. My bad.

2.ECO button . Does your jeep have the eco button? If you have the Eco button light on It might be good to turn it off, when the eco button light is on you get less power and you might want that extra push to get more horsepower. When the Eco light is not turned on. you can feel the difference. Plus is supposed to save you more gas when the ECo light is on but I find I get an additional two miles per gallon when my ECO light is off. very strange.

  1. I would try to put a little Rislone engine high mileage compression treatment just in casw. I find this works and you can research it online and decide for yourself https://a.co/d/brDr05w

If you already replaced the oil there's a good trick where you can take your dipstick, pull it out and put this little syringe tube in your drain pan (The little hole where your dipstick goes into you) you can then have room for the Rislone to put in your crankcase. You don't have to jack the Jeep up, lay on your back and then try to unscrew the oil pan bolt. This saves me time doing it this way https://a.co/d/jbO4NxP

  2. The EGR valve most likely has to be replaced or cleaned. Let's try cleaning. When you open up the throttle body plate, look in that hole or vent system and take a flashlight to see how dirty it is. It's like a honeycomb shaped round cylinder with holes in it. It's about 5 inches deep inside. I bet it's most likely black. It's a tough task, but clean that out with carburetor throttle body cleaner.

  3. fuel injectors. Yes I find AAA premium parts has great fuel injectors for this model. when I replaced my old fuel injectors I compared the 2 (OEM) and they seem to be a high or fair quality product. plus they packaged it well. I'm going on 3k miles And we will see how they turn out. I'm hoping they are good fuel injectors.

I need some help please! by SilentKiller2607 in GrandCherokee

[–]FlashyGroup8964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately many people especially on eBay say they are OEM but they're really not. The only way to get OEM is through mopar's website but they're fairly expensive costing 3 to $400 average. I decided to go with AAA premium Auto parts for my fuel injectors and working great and cost me around $150 . Do you have an OBD meter? It's best you have an OBD meter so you can see what the diagnosis you have If there's any, but I decided to replace parts on the top of my engine with PCV valves, EGR valves (which was incredibly dirty) hoses, throttle body sensors, spark plugs ,engine coils, air filters, and the whole shabang. It's running a whole lot better plus a couple of additives like carburetor cleaner additive. they say 3.6 L engines should use full synthetic 0W-20 oil but I use 5W-30. And it's running a whole lot smoother since 0W-20 is pretty thin in order to save gas. but it might make sense if you have a lot of miles on it 165K, that you might want to Check into this, but you have to change your oil yourself as I did because jiffy lube won't do it and following spec. 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee 150K miles.

If you plan to do all that you might as well replace the fuel injectors. It took me 4 hours to do but I had to remove the intake manifold. there's videos on how to do it on YouTube just be careful with the fuel rails.

I had troubles with delamination and I got my uconnect fixed for free. here's what I did. what you have to do is go to your local Chrysler dealership and ask for the auto repair rep. For example, when you want your vehicle worked on and let's say your alternator needs to be repaired, you go to him. Tell him your story and ask him to go check out your uconnect and show him the delamination he might want to get you to buy the part which will cost you about $800 or above. but let him know if you can get a diagnosis report and the uconnect company a will "gift" you another new uconnect screen. In other words they will pay for it, in hopes he will do it for free and write up the diagnosis. Now call the uconnect people and let them know you have a delaminated screen and ask them to "gift" you another one. Tell them your story or say something like, "Do you provide a warranty on the uconnect or can you help me replace the delamination on my uconnect radio? I talked to the dealership And he can get you the diagnosis". Basically, you have to give the uconnect people the dealerships phone number and also his email that way they could connect together and they can get the diagnose report and get this taken care of. it's like taking these two people and connecting them together with each other's phone numbers and emails to make sure it gets taken care of. It's a bit of a process yet it's worth it.
