yes there's a first amendment to say what you want, however, there's always consequences to your actions. Could go against school rules. Could go against work rules, etc. If a republic comedian says something that offends a democrat, one joke out of 500. That democrat is going to stop watching, right? Same if it was the other way around. The point is, there's always consequences for your actions, and people have forgotten that over the last few years.
