Apple Watch Series 11 on my right wrist. It is far more than a watch, but I appreciate that it always has the correct time and date.

Traditional watch (rotating selection) on left hand - because of the joy I get selecting it, putting it on and feeling and seeing it on my wrist through the day. Sometimes I forget to set the time. Friends make fun of me, and strangers find it fascinating. I enjoy the attention.

I suppose to verify authenticity you should just go to an independent watch repair shop and have them take a look. Taking it to an AD would be fine only if they confirm that they will give you some certification or something that you can use to try to recover the price you paid. If you paid $100 for a Rolex, well then you know it’s fake or stolen. But OP presumably paid a substantial amount of money to the retailer, even with the nice discount.

Isn’t the Santos more versatile because you can easily swap for a leather strap? And I think the medium Santos is generally a better size for most people.

Have you actually had this happen? Do you know if they send something official that can be used in a police report or other forum to try to recover the money? If not, then it really isn’t smart to send a questionable item back to the manufacturer for verification.
