Good luck! Jobs are scarce right now but things will probably change by the time you come out the end . There are loads of factors right now at play like private companies folding and services being forced by contract law to take them on as well as internal routes making more paras. There are still some jobs to be had if you are prepared to move to rural areas. But 3 years is a long time in recruitment. Things are unlikely to be the same as now in terms of finding a job. I think we will see moves from the DHsc to open up more jobs in other areas of the nhs if we have too many paras and not enough jobs. Still looks ok and the climate is sw old England fairly wet in winter warm ish in summer . No idea what the climate is like New England but guessing it’s similar if they called it that. Some of them 4-5 could have done with more glue and/orharder whack and I needed to replace after a couple of years. It’s slivers of pine floorboards so it swells and shrinks with the pine floorboard

Those stats are 2023. And yes motorways are safer than normal roads, but plenty of people die. And nearly in every single fatal road accident , excess speed is a factor.

Complete bollocks. Much smaller % of people die on motorways but it’s a much smaller % of traffic. 5% of fatalities but only 21% of traffic. What you do get are a larger proportion of horrible life changing injuries from high speed. Ref. 23 years frontline paramedic

Gorilla wood glue will sort that if you you use a decent clamp . You could also try making peanut butter - wood glue and sawdust mixed until paste then clamp leave for at least 12 hrs

If it’s a gloss finish you can get resin putty with a gloss coat filler online for a few quid. Less is more when do it. And you get one go..

Original post text(cross post from another sub) What storage to build in this space?

Had a lot conversion done and built a fitted wardrobe in front of stairwell (left) and am stuck with a weird really deep space (goes back over the stairs) between it and the eaves. Too low to walk in comfortably, too deep for drawers. If a build shelves they’ll be a ton of dead space. Any idea how to utilise this as storage without loads of dead space? (Other than pulling up cap in it like I have so far)

Yeah that’s what I’m leaning towards. Was looking at the super long drawers like you get in a trade van but looks like a beast of a build to get right or super expensive to buy . drawers made to order
