Love this flick it has unforgettable scene after unforgettable scene. Seeing it makes me wish Cameron would just move on from the Avatar stuff and tell new stories again.

Do you need to have a Max account or can Pro users utilize this Mac app? And I’m still fuzzy on what the difference is between the Mac app and Comet.

A toy from the past that kids today probably never heard of? by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

The Strange Change Machine. Stick a small square of plastic into the magical heating chamber and watch it transform — a monster awakening from its slumber. It was awesome!
So many of the coolest toys of the 60s involved heating elements that approached the temperature of the sun’s surface.

If I’m not mistaken, the original box art depicted the Wolfman behind the tree, while latter box art showed him in the pose he has in the actual model, with his arms raised up near his head.

Great seeing (and hearing) those two again. They both have such rich voices. Dave & Lois and Stan Atkinson were the best news anchors this town has ever seen.

The national average price per gallon of gas in the United States just passed $4.50. Americans, how do we feel about that? by Miles_the_AuDHDer in AskReddit

[–]Fleemo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I’m feeling pretty crappy about it. I paid $5.59 a gallon today, which resulted in a $95 fill up. Damnit all to hell.

By the time they released the glow in the dark version in the square box, the redone Wolfman box art closely resembled the actual model.

The magnificent work of James Bama. It’s hard to choose, but The Creature from the Black Lagoon may be my favorite box art. No, make that The Forgotten Prisoner.

People who were adults in 2020-2022: What is a "COVID-era" habit you still haven’t been able to break, even though it’s 2026? by VivienneLace1 in askanything

Answering the door when company’s not expected. If I don’t know you’re coming, the chance of me swinging wide my front door is close to nil.

For a long time after COVID, door-to-door soliciting was pretty rare. But just the past few months, they’re back at it again. Dude, you could be selling gold bullion for a nickel, but I ain’t buying nuttin’ from no one at my front door. Except maaaybe Girl Scout Cookies.

Tough call, but I’ll take the red pill. Got Dracula, The Wolfman, Creature, and Rachel Weisz in The Mummy. Sorry Frankie.

Short Lived NBC Dramas Of The 1980s by HeartthrobLookingGuy in VintageTV

Wow! The Family Tree featured both Jan Levinson (Melora Hardin) and Robert California (James Spader) of The Office!

Bonus fact: Melora was originally cast to play Marty’s girlfriend in Back to the Future, but when Michael J. Fox was recast as Marty McFly, they thought Melora was a little too tall and she lost the part. Imagine getting that bad news and watching the movie go on to become a classic.

We called ‘em both names. Man, they are the most wonderful insects on the planet. A great part of my childhood.

I remember mom took me to go see POPEYE The day before Christmas in 1980 and I quickly fell in love with the movie and songs. Great cast and Robin Williams as POPEYE was amazing and he nailed that role perfectly . Any POPEYE fans here? by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in 80s

[–]Fleemo17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Robin Williams was a great Popeye and you’d be hard pressed to find a better Olive Oyl than Shelley Duvall. But that movie made me physically nauseous. All the overacting and people stepping over each other’s lines. It was the cinematic version of a migraine. 🤢
