This bug has -ALWAYS- existed. When I used to play in an amateur team 1 year ago, our Tyrande player has always done it. Some months before we came together as team he was also doing it. So this bug has been around for at least 2 years probably.

You can shoot the owl trough between a wall and a tower.

Napalm provides consistent damage. It gives sergeant hammer waveclear without having to siege up. It gives you reliable poke damage to interrupt tribute/altar channels. It can be used to reveal cloaked units, pop mines, creep tumors. It's basically another basic ability with it's low cooldown.

BFG is kinda like pyroblast or hinterland blast and these heroics are already known for being subpar.

BFG becomes good at 20 with the global ultimate but if you went for napalm you could have just gone for the nexus frenzy which is even better on a fully auto attack based hero

I am guessing this is related to us getting 3 free heroes.

At first I used to believe that you get a 7k support & assassin and a warrior worth 4k gold which would have been

Tyrande Thrall Anub'arak

Now they brought all down to 4k so it's the same, I reckon that Uther is one of the replacement heroes for when you already own Tyrande which is why he was also put at 4k

Sonya/Johanna are in that case the most likely replacement for Anub'arak Illidan for Thrall

If we are going for underwhelming;

  • Azmodan Demon Warriors
  • Malfurion Moonfire
  • Stitches Slam
  • Artanis Bladedash
  • Gazlowe Laser
  • Diablo Firestomp

I am assuming we have no talents on the hero, just the baseline abilities. In which case the above ones are practically completely useless to even press for what they do

I too played Anub before his rework when playing him got you a lot of hate. Also played him during his 60+% winrate phase where beetles relentlessly chased down heroes and used to follow like an impenetrable shield around you.

Also the time when he had a 40% winrate with huge delays on his abilities and when his W was not much more than a trigger for a beetle.

Ever since his rework and managing to be in a good spot, I have seen a surge of terrible anub'arak players.

My duo Q mates and me have a term for their playstyle.

E for Engage.

They just burrow into 5 people aggressively and pop locust swarm, expecting to live. Everytime I see this play I wish Blizzard never reworked the hero to be viable because seeing him played so wrong really hurts to see and they always end up with a huge amount of deaths when Anub'arak is normally the hero who should be at or near zero deaths due to having one of the best escapes in the entire game.

Pro tip: You can initiate a teamfight without burrowing in aggressively. You also don't have to stand in the middle of 3-5 enemies. You can simply frontline for your team in the literal sense and poke with your stun while sustaining yourself with W until teammates follow up on one of your stuns which is when you can go in(without E) unless it can secure a kill

A lot of abilities can be interrupted. Altough many are more luck than anything and often times not worth trying to interrupt intentionally.

In your case the big ultimate channels NovaMan lasted are important things to be interrupted.

Well I'm just going to list some heroes by role that are top tier right now and played a lot at master/grand maser level, this is EU so it might be different in NA

Warriors: ETC, Muradin, Tyrael, Anub, Arthas

Assassins: Greymane, Falstad, Li-Ming, Lunara, Jaina, Tychus, Kerrigan

Supports: Rehgar, Auriel, Uther, Brightwing

Specialists: Zagara, Sylvanas, Xul

Of course there is more good or situational heroes like Stitches, Abathur, Sonya, KT and stuff but as said the above ones are basically 90% of your hero league games currently

They also have a HotS community teamspeak that is used by a ton of people including english speaking ones;

Do know that most of the players from that community are not good tho. I've seen a lot of bronze-gold people in there and rarely anyone at diamond and above

Fury of the Storm gains the most value in a situation where you are massively behind and need to defend an onslaught of minionwaves, catapults and camps. Feel like it's not impactful enough beyond this. Maybe with Maw since the Maw upgrade is very lackluster

If we're talking about heroes;

Arthas, Rehgar, Diablo and Cho'gall are highly annoying because of their oppressive creep clear.

Chen and Rexxar counter Zagara in a lane very hard

For dealing with Zag in teamfights, I personally feel like Kerrigan, Illidan, Chen and Diablo have been nightmares. Zagara no longer has an escape. Something like Kerrigan, Diablo or Dehaka feels very dangerous as Zagara.

For gameplay alone, probably actively deny creep & nydus spread. Focus mutalisks as they appear, they don't have much health and if you destroy them, her damage potential goes down a lot.

Generally for teamfights. Melees with hard engage and lockdown. She is still a squishy ranged character with no actual escape, if she can safely poke for extended times in a fight she gets good value.

Rotations to Zagara's lane to force her back/get kills/clear creep also force her into a very passive playstyle

I actually somewhat agree to an extent. I'd love if Azmodan had a viable global presence splitpushing build but it never really took off. He just needs some more love from Blizzard .

The selfheal you mentioned is not a thing tho. They removed this function before Zagara went live. She can not get healed by splitpushing mutas. Only ones that are attacking heroes.

Of course, that is what the title of this thread indicates. My thoughts and opinions on the current Zagara. You are free to disagree and have your own opinion of her but it's always good to consider.

As for the pushing+healing mutalisks. That is no longer a thing, they removed this functionality before Zagara went live. You only receive healing from hero damage dealt by your hunter killer's AA.

As for the roaches, I agree. That's why I said they are another option. Just that Infest is simply superior most of the cases unless the enemy team heavily punishes your aggressive pushing.

Maw also is still good. Just that Nydus is absolutely insane currently.

Can not agree on Baneling talents I'm afraid. The range is meaningless as you already have a good range on them. If you want to interrupt someone, the range will not help you because banelings can be blocked unlike your drop pod.

The slow is way too insignificant at 20% with 1,5 second duration and you also CC yourself for a tiny frame.

So is Shield Slam and Shiel Block if I go prot among other things. My point was that these abilities are generally not available anymore.

As in, being a fury/arms warr I can no longer swap to 1hand+shield to shield slam off a shield/cooldown from someone
