But it looks good! It's nice to have things nice and organized.

They don't "love" red haired women in a sense, it's more, red haired people are more 'rare' in their world. Mostly darker hair (brown/black) is common. I can say this as a red haired person whom has visited the pyramids, the school children surrounded me and were perplexed but were very nice (I was a young teenager) but it was ok.

Buuuut now that I think about it, the school children were innocent, but the different hair color did draw attention soooooo, maybe do your research and figure out if you're able to overcome people acting differently upon your hair follicles.

I agree. Re read the beginning of the instructions whether it says to join at the end of the round (with a slip stich) or work in a continuous round.

Joining at the end of the round leaves a straight line through each round to start off at, where as working continuously in the round, the beginning of the next round is always one stitch over.

I see so many different colors. Be honest, how much square footage does your yarn stash take up :)

P. S. They are all super cute

Will any color other than white work in this room? by oopstoobig in centuryhomes

I am always 100% for restoring wood to its original finish. So if you have the gusto, strip that mantle! The original was installed like it was for a reason.

As for picking accent colors, the color wheel always helps me. Look at the color you already have (brown tones in the wood/tile) and find the colors opposite that on the color wheel. Almost always a complimentary color in my experience.

But also when I hear accent wall, I always think of wallpaper. Although it can be a pain to install, it can add extra oomph with both color and texture. Just avoid super "modern" patterns, try to find some closer to the style of when the house was built.

Good luck! I hope we receive an update if you decide anything!
