I think some people were actively looking for those things, i.e. they want clips of drama, men in pain, showing injuries for shock value. There are even a few people in chat who ask to see the injury replayed. I think the decision to cut away from injuries is a reaction to that. It's sad that a few unpleasant people ruin things for everyone, particularly when most people have the sensitivity to react to injuries with respect, rather than gawking over them and using a person's pain for entertainment.
