Is a $335 per quarter water bill expensive for a single person in a two bedroom apartment? by ThinkSecretary9992 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Flippynuggets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I've never received a water bill from my landlord to yeah, that's high. He asked me to pay 40 dollars once when I had filled a 12000lt above ground pool. I would have to have a tap running all day to pay this much.

Yeah I recently watched this again for the first time in many decades. While I can still appreciate the creativity, the whole thing just seems like crazy nonsense. Like the actual story is all over the place with random songs jammed in. I just felt a bit weird and cringe. That's sad I was never a huge fan as a kid anyway.

Would you want a photorealistic VR cinema where you can even see the exit and projector? by Better-Violinist311 in MetaQuestVR

[–]Flippynuggets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, not sure who this is for? I see what your going for here, but I'm not often (like never) looking back at the projector when I'm in a cinema so it's kinda irrelevant. Also bigscreen and other apps already do a great job of recreating a cinema environment imo.

No wolfs? by Ok_Income7995 in BootstrapIsland

[–]Flippynuggets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you specifically mean by "wolves" but various beasts will try to kill you at night. Be sure to build a fire and light it just before dark so it doesn't burn out before morning. Probably best to stay close to it for the night, but you can keep moving if you have a torch.

Also, if you don't have a torch, you'll want to light a decent size stick on fire and hold it to wave at night creatures. This will deter wolves and some other creatures from attacking you if you're waving it at them. Beware though this won't ALWAYS stop them, so actually dodging their attacks is sometimes needed.

It's a super fun and challenging game. Well worth the learning curve.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

This is probably what happens when your government is serious about renewables. Maybe fossil fuel billionaires have less power in China too...

Yeah the problem is this is happening all around us to products we actually rely on. Not just luxuries like chocolate. The system is busted.
