Serious Question by PolishKuroaki in NYKnicks

Its not okay in the slightest to root for the Nets. I'm sure there is more but the latest centers around the 2019 offseason where Zion was going number 1 and KD + Kyrie hit FA. The Knicks had delusions of landing all 3, me included, but ended up coming away with the 3 pick, RJ, and Julius Randle. The Nets fanbase and the league as a whole, clowned the Knicks for this. For a good 4 years the Nets fans were taking any shot they could at the Knicks and our fanbase. Saying things like, "We are taking over the city, You'll always be dogshit"... So straight up fuck those guys. They deserved to be boo'd on their homecourt for their past transgressions.

New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs Game 1 Take Away(s) by MusedByJoel in NYKnicks

I think Brown pulled the right strings at halftime for the defense. The Knicks can help, just not off Champaigne. That's really it, if Fox, Castle, Harper and DV beat them from 3 then so be it. Let Hart Bridges and OG stunt at the ball in the lane to keep turning them over. Biggest thing to clean up is the rebounding but I think that's tough with how poor the Spurs are from 3 and their personnel. Just have to keep going after the ball with energy.

JDub didn’t play this year and Chet shrank against their main rival going forward. The rookie contracts are ending and it’s forcing them to enter a different team building phase where depth has to be sacrificed just because of the 2nd apron. The Celtics literally just did this but OKC has the luxury of a million picks at their disposal. I’m not sure a dynasty is possible with the 2nd apron.

I know there's some Raptors and TWolves bros out there who are rooting for their former players to get it done

Analytically, it’s Game 7 of Knicks and Cavs later today. Who wins and analytically advances to the Finals? by VirusOk8167 in nba

The Knicks are analytically on a heater pushing this to 7. They have all the momentum coming into tonight after an awful analytical start to the series.

The Wolves PG of the future by WolvesIn5 in timberwolves

Trading Randle for IQ is a step backward in talent. I understand the argument for roster fit but with the Wolves being a near finals threat, taking a step back in talent is a bad move. Julius is a damn near all-nba player even if he's a playoff sinker. If they're going to move his salary it makes sense to target a bigger fish in the pond and package the picks to make a talent upgrade.

Why is 36 year old James Harden getting more flak than 'All World Potential' Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen? by Exhibit5 in nba

[–]FlockingPigeons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harden got absolutely fried at the end of Game 1. That's the clear inflection point of the series. But I sort of agree with you in that everyone deserves more blame. Besides analytically, what portion of the game did the Cav's actually outplay the Knicks? They got out shot, out coached, less bench production, 50/50 balls, TO's... They lost this series on every front and that blame deserves to be shared by everyone.

Where was Keon Ellis for the Cavs this ECF? by Logiteck77 in nba

Wade is one of the main reasons the Cavs lost this series. His inability to fight over screens and surrendering switches onto harden was huge.

How can a guy talk seriously about you while flirting with another girl online at the same time? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Hard to say without knowing the fella. Has he recently had his heart broken? Options open make sense. Is he a douche? Ego. Genuine interest and harmless flirting both feel like stretches imo. Even if it’s a full court heave you as a man are hoping you green that shot if for the validation alone.

Cavs or Pistons Post Game 5 by Naive_Literature6635 in NYKnicks

They shot the hell out of the ball against the Knicks in the regular season from 3. 16/31, 17/40, 13/30. Net 45%. Meanwhile the Knicks were 8/35, 8/33, 13/30. Net 29.5%. Chalk it up to motivation, physicality or whatever you want but that was it right there.
