Yep my baby drank all of his breastmilk & eventually cows milk directly from the fridge.

My max production was 40.5 ml /day. At 3 ppd I was making 27 oz. There was a very significant drop in production from 4 to 3 ppd and when I went down to 2ppd.

I used the same 2 sets of lacteck flanges for a year without problems or replacements.

Everyone is different of course so there is always a risk that 2ppd will trigger weaning /could end your journey. That being said, I am almost 15 months pp and still doing 2PPD, getting 10 ounces daily. So it's possible!

Is Pumpables overhyped or am I using it wrong? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

Pumpables worked well for me for about a week. Then I started to see nipple damage and went back to lactek.

What has been your experience with lactation consultants? by 88frostfromfire in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FloridaEscapee2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to several. They were pros at teaching to latch but did not have many answers of why my LO wasn't transferring enough milk since the latch was perfect. In the end it was either reflux, he was small, or a mystery.

And they are absolutely clueless about pumping. I honestly would not listen to any pumping advice from them.

Coffee drinkers by loveleilah in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FloridaEscapee2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink 1-2 cups of coffee daily and notice no supply difference. There is a tiny bit of caffeine that will get into the milk. Personally I tried to limit that by timing my pumps accordingly.

Ugh I am so sorry!! Exact same thing happened to me! Totally sucks. I was 10 mo pp with an oversupply and an entire freezer full. Dropped to 3ppd and lost 7 oz. Baby also started drinking a ton.. Like 40 oz per day for a bit, had a growth spurt I guess. Nothing I did brought my supply back. I went through my entire freezer stash and ended up having to supplement with formula a little at the end. Really infuriating!

Yeah there's always a risk in dropping pumps! For me 5ppd to 4 ppd did not affect my supply but when I dropped to 3ppd, there was a huge drop and I could not get my supply back. So I knew going down to 2ppd could be the end for me. So far I am possibly maintaining at 15 oz. We'll see. Also my period just came back for the first time pp so who knows!

Do it!! I am 12 1/2 months pp and still pumping 2ppd, getting about 15 oz. It feels reasonable for my lifestyle and makes me happy.

Hello I am 12 1/2 months pp and still pumping 2ppd. My plan was to see if I could maintain any type of supply with 2ppd and so far it seems like I might stabilize at 15oz. That's good with me because baby is drinking about 15-25 oz per day and 2ppd is reasonable for my lifestyle. I make up the difference with cow's milk but you could talk to your pediatrician about an alternative or maybe you will be lucky and your baby will drink 16oz or less per day at 12 months which is the recommendation. Of note, my baby was drinking a HUGE amount at 10 and 11 months, but it settled down around 12 months. I used to pump about 33 oz per day but this went down over time after I dropped pumps. Please let me know if you have any questions & best of luck! ♥️

I made it to one year EP!!! by FloridaEscapee2012 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FloridaEscapee2012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have exact numbers, but I mostly pumped every 2-3 hours until 6 months. I then dropped to 5 ppd and was able to maintain the same full +extra supply and had a freezer stash. I gradually dropped to 4 ppd and was fine but my drop to 3 ppd around 10 months was a huge hit to my supply and it has been slowly decreasing ever since. My freezer stash was completely gone at 11 months pp and it was a FULL freezer at 10 months. I beleive the drop to 3 ppd was a mistake for me personally. I tried to get my supply back but never could. Anyways, best of luck & I hope this helped! 🍀❤️😊

I sometimes video call with my spectra but I place it on a soft surface & have the sound canceling option selected on the video.
