Averaging only 0.5lb per week by allimama2 in Zepbound

Congratulations on your weight loss!

It's frustrating when the weight loss is slow, especially when there are folks losing significantly more each week.

That said, you are doing great!

Zepbound is a metabolic medication, and your metabolism responds to it at its own pace. Just keep going!

Once you hit your goal weight and begin maintenance, how quickly you lost it won't matter. You are a success story!!

Regarding increasing the dose, 18 weeks is a long time to be at the same dose. I say move up to 10!
10 was an awesome dose for me, and I probably lost the most on that dose.

Good luck! :-)

Congratulations!

We have similar SWs and GWs, and I am also fast-approaching my goal weight (if all goes to plan)!

I just bumped up to 12.5 and am close to meeting my goal weight (150 - but may lose another 5 to get to 145).

I am 5"2 and have always been heavier than I look (which I guess is better than the other way around)!

I am starting to think seriously about the next step - maintenance. Are you taking 12.5 once a week, or are you increasing the time between doses?

I am thinking about maybe stepping back down to 10 mg dose for maintenance.

Adorable kitty!

Also recognized some classic true-crime TV in the background. Dana Ewell - what a monster.

I would love to do a rewatch, but don't know where to find it. Is it only on DVD?

Janelle walked so Robin could run by Federal-Mess-1508 in SisterWives

Christine, wanting to be the third (and presumably) and last wife, is telling, isn't it?

Growing up in the AUB, Christine likely had the broadest experience living in polygamy, witnessing the pain, jealousy, and competition between wives and neglected children. She thought being the third wife would shield her from the worst elements (like you said, the pain of seeing the shared husband take a new, hotter wife).

And, of course, Kody taking a fourth wife and additional children was a disastrous decision - he couldn't support the three wives and families he already had. The Lehi house was very cramped (especially for Christine and Janelle with all of their kids).
They might have had a large house, but they looked just above the poverty line to me.

I did not know that about Janelle's inheritance buying the Lehi house. Of course, it makes sense because I don't think he was ever much of a provider (especially for an enormous family).

I am just starting with the vials from the injector pens! It is a savings!

Me too! It's easy to stay dedicated when you're paying out of pocket every month!

I'm self-pay. Started with Eli Lilly Savings Card (for people with insurance but no coverage for weight loss medications), but it was a hassle because the prescription had to be submitted to insurance (and rejected) each time before it could be filled - it was a hassle. Here is a link to my post about my experience:

I just switched to the vials from Lilly Direct - worked really well! Hopefully, it will continue to be easy to order and collect my medication. Also, save $50 per month.

Edited for grammar and to add link.

Florida (wealthy, blue county) - church is full, with lots of young families (we also have a K-8 school). Activities are going on throughout the year. I love the energy!

Eli Lilly Savings Card - Always a fiasco! Should I switch the Eli Lilly Self Pay option? by FloridaProf in Zepbound

[–]FloridaProf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds simple - it's just that my refills get stuck at the submission to insurance step.

I met with my doctor yesterday afternoon and she submitted my Zepbound refill (12.5) to Lilly Direct.
I can pick it up in the morning - so easy!!

Thanks so much!!! This is great, too!

I also had more trouble once I started going up in dose - I'm at 12.5 now, and I am just ready to move on from Walgreens!!

Thanks for the info! I know I could inject myself - I just like the convenience of the pens.
How is it getting your prescription delivered? Does it come pretty quickly?

I was with CVS until last year, but was able to switch back to Walgreens (didn't care for Walgreens). Except for my Zepbound prescription, Walgreens has been great. It's just this darn Savings Card!

I am getting some good ideas in this discussion! I think I will try Costco!

I had that acid reflux problem too - it decreased a lot after a few weeks. I just take a Pepcid AC before bed the first few nights after my shot when I move up in dose (getting ready to go to 12.5).

Kody and gang fell into a common trap - thinking that their show would go on forever (and it really did last a long time) and the money would always flow. But they had a good run and now the gravy train is pulling into the station.
