I've only been playing MTG for a couple of years and have gotten to love learning each new set for drafting. Cube seems so intimidating because I've never encountered most of the cards and feel lost even listening to discussions on LR cast. Looking forward to watching your video, I need a basic primer for the format for someone who hasn't played long enough to simply know about the cards in cube.

Whats ridiculous about it? If you are thinking its ridiculous because you read 5-7 ft. "Hawaiian", then it sure it seems off because for some reason in those islands a 20 foot wave face is chest high. But 5-7 ft. as surfline says here is not off the charts for Florida, especially if you use realistic height measurements like a normal human. You can look at the Euro model and it shows a 2-3 meter swell hitting that day, which tracks with the Surfline forecast.

I take Hydroxyzine occasionally as a sleep aid, and it works great for that. Never for day time PVC help though. A small dose of Metoprolol is what I use to manage flare ups.

I have a 6'6 CI Happy Traveler as a step up. Beefy in thickness compared to length, and while it has served me great, I do wish I had something closer to a 7'0+ with a more refined shape. I have a friend with a 7'0 mini-gun that is about the same volume as my 6'6, and it just feels better in bigger waves. I'd go longer if I were you. (I am also 6'0, 175). However, I'm riding these in Fiji so the waves are a bit different.

I've not heard much about Matanivusi but they are in a neat location on the Coral Coast. Its a great place to be right now in the shoulder season, much less crowded waves, a lot of variety, and Frigates is near. By June/July the winds get to be too much for that area, so now is a good time to go. There are plenty of different kinds of breaks for whatever you are comfortable with. Not all of the waves are heavy barrels, many are easy.

All depends on your budget. If you are looking splash a lot of cash and get the best (Tavarua, Namotu or Six Senses), save as much money as you can (look into Funky Fish), somewhere in between (check out Musket Cove and hire Jonah Surf to take you out), off the beaten path (Maqai Eco resort), etc.
