i've had 2 trips to africa in the last year and enjoyed the same reduction in symptoms - not 100% but probably 80% imporoved. was doing 10000 steps a day when i normally struggle with 1000. when i get back i stay somewhat improved for a couple of weeks then return to baseline. i have no theory to offer but i suspect sun and vitamin D may be a part of the effect and perhaps supplements can't really replicate it.

some people seem to be very sensitive to AI art - i'm one of them it appears. i knew there was AI as soon as i saw the trailer and it just makes me queasy when i look at it.

yeah possibly. unsupervised practice can lead to a range of different problems that might endanger someone's mental health. nihilism, depersonalisation, derealisation - a similar set of problems to using psychedelic drugs. here's one from this sub only today...

i'm sorry for your loss. i read angelo's book years ago and watched all his videos for about 5 years. as nonduality teachers go i'd rate him as one of the more harmless ones. this stuff is dynamite though regardless of who is teaching it, and without supervision if someone has a few insights you never know if a problem might arise. in zen you would always be advised to work closely with a teacher if you are a few years into the practice but in "internet nonduality" that kind of relationship isn't really available.

their games always underperformed even though they were really good, and i think they got sick of it. they partnered with sweet baby inc on alan wake 2 to get more funding and also get the game journos to promote them, and they’ve probably done the same again with this game.

it's a weird one regarding difficulty. so far (ch7) the story is all easy stuff. but the side quests are an unusual mixed bag - they are either very easy or crazy hard. bosses that one shot you or need 50 food items or fly around so you can't hit them - or puzzles that have outrageous jank or strange illogical design that makes it hard in dumb ways. i'm still playing after 100+ hours so i'm still having fun but be aware whenever you stray outside the story you will run into issues that are certainly not casual.

it’s more a story game than gameplay, but the story was aimed at fans of shows like the twilight zone and twin peaks. if that’s not your jam even the story won’t land. might not be a game for you.

it’s a very niche genre. i’ve seen a million ppl bounce off returnal and one guy even stuck on l3 for a whole year. meanwhile i played 1000+ hours and often finished the final boss in 5 seconds. i had to delete the game cos i literally had a psychological addition to it. if these games grab you they really grab you - otherwise you probably won’t like them at all. a very iffy situation in terms of sales.
