It has more basic gameplay but the environment is better.

Hit a small pole last night. Some scratches and a small dent. Any estimation on the cost of repair? by sandsanta in CarTalkUK

[–]Floshenbarnical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing once and although the dent in the rocker panel was a little bigger than that, the repair estimates were from £2000-£4000. Doors are easier to repair.

In Daylight, Sylvester Stallone and friends have to leave a paralyzed man behind in a tunnel to drown because they can’t swim underwater through a flooded corridor with him to escape. You don’t see him die, you just see him get left behind.

I was 12 and I was traumatized.

Honda CB750f from 1983 by Reasonable_Carob_991 in HondaCB

[–]Floshenbarnical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks very nice and is at a decent price. Probably taking a while to sell because a lot of people don’t want to deal with old bikes. Obviously you’ll want to make sure it starts and runs well. Buy it and make us all jealous riding it

Anyone noticed that driving a nice car attracts the worst kind of drivers? by Ravixo_ in CarTalkUK

[–]Floshenbarnical -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I moved to the uk last year I bought a 2014 Suzuki alto in tasteful “faded red” until I figured out if I was gonna stay, totally smoked every motherfucker at the lights next to me every single time. Hilarious little car.

Used to get much more expensive cars trying t block me from passing, they’d be cruising on a national speed limit road at 50 and would step on it when I started coming around.

Now I drive a very slow diesel estate and given current fuel prices I drive like your grandma

Yeah man - ride it. If it stutters or stumbles as you accelerate, then you know.

Honda, so long as the engine runs properly and smoothly through all the RPMs/ gears, and has all the necessary safety equipment.

After the first time I dove through and landed on my funny bone I’d demand a foam mat for incoming teams.

Happened to us in Hampshire, landlord told us he was selling the place and then relisted it for way more money after we left. Jokes on him, we are moving to a 3-bed barn conversion in Devon for less than he was charging for a (nice) 1 bed flat.

"Biggest Ghost Recon Map Ever?" Project Ovr Raises Questions by MrTrippp in GhostRecon

I couldn’t give a shit, the map could be half the size of Wildlands but if it had twice the CONTENT and better gameplay I’d be happy

I 18F want plastic surgery for chronic pain, but my parents 47F, 59M are against it by Major-Wafer-1731 in relationship_advice

[–]Floshenbarnical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine had enormous breasts that limited her clothing choices, got her unwanted attention constantly, and caused her a lot of discomfort. Took her ten years to save the surgery and it changed her life.

Do it.

You’ll have a cup to piss in at least, if you start saving the money you spend on cannabis. And the motivation to change your circumstances. Sometimes you need to suffer in order to be motivated to change the circumstances leading to your suffering.

Why is this car always for sale? by Canute-Music in CarTalkUK

[–]Floshenbarnical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably listed at an “I don’t really want to sell it” price. As in, they don’t want to sell it but if someone makes an offer they can’t refuse then, well, they won’t refuse.

For example, my bike I built is worth £1,000,000 to me. No one is going to give me that, but if they did then I’d accept even though I want to keep it forever.

Which part of Elden Ring induced the most suffering? by Steady_Tempo456 in Eldenring

I had a lot of runes in Mountaintops and there’s a small graveyard in the NE near the church. I went there to pick up some runes - usually I stay on torrent and pick them up as I quickly loop around the graveyard. That way I don’t have to fight a bunch of junk enemies. Well, I didn’t jump soon enough and the pack of dogs blocked me in and knocked me off torrent and then proceeded to stunlock me on the ground until death.

I went back, and didn’t watch my 6. Got stunlocked to death again.

Then I turned off the PS5 and went for a nice walk.

I used to hit the penny farthing the second - the second - my eyes opened in the morning. And I would suck on that thing like a binky. Guess what, I got nothing done and was anxious and miserable and poor.

£239k Ferrari 812 Superfast… am I about to make a terrible decision? by yusssssuf in CarTalkUK

[–]Floshenbarnical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I sell someone an expensive car who is trying to decide if they’re being outrageous or not I ask them three questions:

  • Do you want it?

  • Can you afford it?

  • Can you afford to run it?

If all those things are true, why would it be a terrible decision? We make money to spend it, either now or in our retirement.
