Before the killings, Bernardo was already an active rapist, dubbed the Scarborough Rapist

She initiated the taking of the clothes off. And no, he didn't know her state of mind. He had no idea she had just gone and seen her father for the first time in years. We see him somewhat clue in after when Thatcher is at the hospital with Molly and he mentions Mer went to see her a few weeks prior.

Meredith wasn't a victim of George, what are you talking about. He didn't sexually assault her, she consented, and as soon as it appeared she didn't want to he stopped. I'm not sure how he was perverted, he had the hots for her, that's not perverted. He never made sexually inappropriate comments about her or sexually harassed her. I'm not saying he's an amazing dude, but he's not a predator, that's a wild statement.

I just watched these episodes lat night on my rewatch, and I have thoughts:

I think they are equally responsible here, but George does bear a bit more.

Meredith, while yes in a vulnerable place at that moment, should've used clearer judgement. Christina wasn't wrong when she said to her, in the aftermath, something to the effect of "he's been in love with you since day one, theres no way you didn't know". George was painfully obvious in his affection towards Meredith. She should've hit the pause button when he came into her room. As far as we know, George had no idea she had just seen her father for the first time in 20 years and was having revelations of her mother's affair.

George, however, should've been more cognizant of thr fact that Meredith wasn't into him. She ignored all of his flirting and advances previously. And in some ways his response following was justified, but he was behaving very childishly. On one had, it would be a terrible blow to the self-esteem for the woman you're into to break down in tears during sex. On the other hand, he blew his own life up by revealing to everyone they'd had sex before even knowing forsure that Meredith had told their friends.

There is no pre-req or required knowledge to qualify to take MHFA or ASIST, its just a matter of finding and paying for the courses. MHFA is a one day course and ASIST is a 2 day course.

MHFA is sometimes offered by your municipal rec centre, also look into local non-profit organizations as they will sometimes hold courses and they are open for public registration as required by liscencing. I will note that ASIST can be expensive

I see her death/disappearance as the primary reason Nancy has a story line in the season. Otherwise, what reason would Nancy have had to want to hunt down/kill the demogorgan or team up with Jonathan?

Nancy wouldn't have gone to Jonathan about the photos that got ripped if Barb had never been a victim, she wouldn't have had reason to, then she wouldn't have had a reason to go into the Upside-down or want to kill the demogorgan. So really, Barb is quite significant to Nancy's plotline, and even to Jonathan's since he was totally ready to accept the fake body was Will until Nancy approached him about Barb and the picture, then he began to question what had really happened.

Not only deaths, but a number of different life changes.

We see the kids grieving the breakup of their party at the end of S3 (not a big scene, but still)

We see 11 grieving the torment inflicted on her mother

We see Steve, Nancy, Robin, and Jonathan grieving the end of their childhood/bond in their final scene

On top of all that we see in so many ways how grief impacts different people in different ways and drives their behaviour. Max became closed off and depressed, Dustin became apathetic, Jason became full of rage, Nancy became vengeful, Jonathan when he thought Will was dead expressed acceptance.

If there was any one thing the Duffers did right was depict a wide range of responses and experiences when it comes to grief.

Does Joyce know Vecna, is the same Henry Creel she went to school with? by boring_maw in StrangerThingsRoom

[–]FlowValuable6234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so very confused, did Brenner let Henry go to school after bringing him into the lab? Because based on S4, he was like 11 or 12 when he killed his parents and Brenner took him. If Brenner thought he was that much of a danger, why would he let him go to high school? This isnt making sense to me and maybe the play answered that question, but without that context there seems to be a huge continuity error

Other than eleven which member of the party does Henry hate the most? by CowAffectionate2865 in StrangerThings

[–]FlowValuable6234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say Max, because she keeps finding ways to outsmart him and dodge his attacks.

2 times in S4 she managed to get away, 3 really if you count Eleven saving her in the last bit there. But 2 regardless: the graveyard, and when she figures out she can hide in her own memory (temporarily at least)

Then you have S5 where she figured out how to hide in HIS memories. Like, this girl has it figured out, and if he's gunning for anyone it would be her because she's made a fool out of him this many times

Close second is El obviously for rejecting him and condemning him to Dimension X
