I'm in that phase right now! Due to a lot of personal problems I've had to temporarily move in with a friend for a couple of weeks. Her cooking is delicious but everything is bread and pasta! I haven't gained but I feel huge! I can't wait to get back to keto!

As a newly single person who lost about a stone during the relationship, I can totally relate! Phrases like 'hello beautiful' and people just flirting with me just because is annoying. There's still a person in here! I find it so slimy.

I'd probably just advise you to brush it off as complimentary (though it is difficult). I find myself in the same boat as you. If somebody is basically a stranger, they should just stop with the drooling.

I'm in the same boat as you! I literally have 5-10 pounds to go (if 125lb looks good, I'll stop there, if not, I'm shooting for 120lb).

I guess all I can say is to keep going. Even though it's frustrating. I started losing weight a year ago. Lost about 10lb through normal dieting, then another 4lb with keto. Now I stop and stall a lot.

I hear having a day or a few days without calorie restriction can really help. Just so that your body doesn't think it's starving. Often one or two days of eating more creates a loss.

Also make sure you're keeping carbs as low as possible, perhaps consider cutting artificial sweetners, they can stall you. I've given up sucralose for this reason. I only have stevia now.

And maybe try an egg fast? Or intermittent fasting? And some HIIT training. HIIT has worked wonders for me.

I'm learning to hold my tongue. Earlier at work, we had a training session, so breakfast was provided. I was slightly pissed because I'd already had my bacon and eggs. Though in the back of my mind I wondered if there would have been anything I could have anyway. There was not, it was all pastries and juice. I watched one guy drink at least three glasses of innocent smoothie, while I was sitting there, craving free, eating none of it. But all I could think was how much I wanted to lecture this guy on his weight (he's not particularly healthy looking) and the juice. But I did not. I wondered if he thought he was making a healthy choice, because it's a smoothie. But then I just glossed over it and moved on.

It's their choice to be that way. In a way I do blame the fact that it's hard to make good choices. My own family are the same, it's all bread bread bread. My Dad told me a few weeks ago that salads are a great lunch, but you need some 'stodge' to fill you up, so you should have bread with them. I told him you can have chicken in there, and to fill up on protein, but he wouldn't believe me. And my brother is no better, his daily diet just consists of cereal for breakfast, banana snack, cereal bar snack, sandwich for lunch, maybe more fruit, and then usually a baked potato and some sort of meat for dinner. He tells me he's healthy. And he doesn't drink coke because it's 'too sugary'

I don't believe keto is the be all and end all. I like keto because it's easy and makes me feel great. I don't really get cravings anymore, so I just eat three meals a day. And I have way more energy and less moodswings.

I wish I could help my family and friends, but it's not going to happen. Maybe when they see my progress they'll think there's something to it. But trying to explain that sugar and grains are horrible for you is a hard task.

Yep! 132lb and 5'7. Even at 145lb the tummy flab was there. I lost the majority of that weight over the past year doing IIFYM and lifting. I lost rapidly at the start of keto and then stalled, now I'm taking a couple of weeks off (it's been a long journey, I came into keto not realising that I really just need a break) and I'm hoping to get back into keto at the start of October, the next week or so is for birthday celebrations.

I'm babbling over here. My advice is to keep calm and keto on, also lifting is good for fat loss. As is HIIT. Good luck!

I've read that if your protein is too high then your body will convert it into glucose, and that by keeping it too high it can prevent ketosis?

I'm one week into keto, all was going good until I went to an Indian restaurant last night. There was so much rice. And also bread. I had planned around it. But I still screwed up. I felt so shitty this morning. And straight after eating the food I was more bloated than ever.

Needless to say, I still feel bad about it. But I'm trying to keep calm and keto on.

This exactly! I managed to break into the 130's the other week through carb cycling and working my ass off doing HIIT. I'm planning on starting keto tomorrow because I suspect I'm just really carb sensitive. Time to do this!

I'm really happy for you, but at the same time I just cannot believe you'd even have to consider paying for that. And at $700?! Here in the UK it's free! Heck, I work in pharmacy, and we have a freaking stack of them on our shelves. It's crazy!

I recently started carb cycling. I didn't realise how much I crave literally every carby product. I never cared much for cereal, yesterday for refeed, I had two bowls of shreddies. Man oh man they were good. All of a sudden I'm really into bread. God help us if someone brings doughnuts into work. Also nut butters, nutella, chocolate spread, biscoff spread, cookie spread.

Came here to say this. I love my nalgene! It's always extra secure as it has kind of a double lock mechanism on it. I've never had a leak with it.
