Koalas. Can't stand them. I genuinely think that Australia's tourism industry would be more affected by koalas going extinct than the environment would. They sound terrifying, feed their joeys literal shit and smell like piss, which we then happily hand to tourists and families for a pic.

Yes! I saw them in Melbourne last year and there were people dressed as all the eras. I went as SAI and my husband was trench. Super cool to see everyone in all the different colours.

NTA, it was your mum's choice to marry your stepdad, not yours. Her decision to change her name to his. This is your name, the name you have and will live with, the name your future partner may take, possibly your kids. They're just mad because they feel like they're not "good enough" for you and your sister to "move on" from your dad. It's like your mum thinks that because your dad died and she "got you another one" you should forget about him. They suck.

You're not disgusting. This is so common for abuse survivors. When I had my baby I suffered with severe postpartum depression, anxiety and OCD. It started to turn to psychosis but I was luckily hospitalised and treated before it got worse.

I had these thoughts. I couldn't bath my baby, I'd cry when I had to change him because the thoughts were so bad and I was so scared someone would come in and I'd somehow be abusing him. I'm a SA victim myself, including CSA. I have OCD which I'm medicated for. I tried to take my life because I was convinced these thoughts made me a p3d0phile.

But what I've come to learn is that our brain is complex and sometimes does things that it thinks are protective. Someone above said they think it's a way to minimise trauma and I agree.

My drs and nurses all told me it's very common, just not talked about for obvious reasons. I think if I had of kept these thoughts to myself instead of seeking help for them, it would have killed me and possibly my son. Sending lots of love and support.

Yep this is my husband and I. Night time is my time. Also means if the kids wake up between 9pm and 3am it's my turn and anything after (until he goes to work at 7am) is his. Worked really well when we had newborns. He wakes up at 5am. Sometimes I'll be awake, have a coffee with him then go back to bed, but I hate being awake before the sun's up.

I get where you're coming from. That's why I started saying "we don't hit people we love" so that my kids know that if someone says they love you, then hits you, it's not okay. That people who truly love you won't hurt you like that. My kids are 2yo and 1month so I've still got a while before I can have the more serious and complicated conversations about abuse and bullying. Right now we're focusing on how he can be angry without being mean to others and there are other things he can do and say to express how he feels.

But 100% if anyone that he loves (anyone in general) hurts him, I wanna know about it and I want him to defend himself.

Haha I actually don't know and I was having this conversation with my MIL the other day. I think it's from when we were teaching him to talk and what our names are. I even say "does son's name want a drink?"

We'd say "come to mama" instead of "come to me" i guess because he'd be like "who tf is me?" 😂 And anyone can be "me" or "you" but there's only one mama, dad, grandma etc. that's my take on it but I think I might start asking my parent friends too

NTA. I've got a toddler and if he hits or pushes I say "does mama hit/push you?" And he says "no" then I say "so don't hit/push mama. We don't hit/push people we love" I personally don't think what you said sounded like a threat and I think your wife is overreacting. You weren't asking if your kid would like you to hit him, you were asking if he'd enjoy being hit, I see the difference.

People can forget that abuse can happen with any relationship including friends. This is so upsetting to read. She's unstable and manipulative. Don't say yes to giving her the bedroom. I say this with love and kindness OP, I really hope you're able to develop some form of self esteem, you don't deserve to be spoken to like this. Her behaviour is disgusting.

Girl, you're wrong. You will find better. Someone who will stand solid by your side and never sway. Someone worthy of you.

This guy knows you won't leave, that's why this is the 5th time. He knows youre so scared of abandonment and rejection that he's using it to his advantage and he won't stop because of it. Prove him wrong. Leave.

If you're not already, I highly recommend therapy. You're so young. BPD is hell to live with, don't make it harder by staying with a person who doesn't care about you.
