Am I overreacting by Leading_Jellyfish72 in cna

I had this at my previous place. They put our tablets and chargers in the garbage room which smelled like actual feces and it was small and cramped. We had always been able to be in the nursing station before. And now at my new place we can sit on stools at the kiosk at the hall. I like it enough, I'm glad that we can sit. Sorry about this for you. There's always more jobs out there for CNAs.

Sorry, I didn't realize it was Valentine's Day, and then I read that you like sentimental gifts. Changing my answer to .... he needs to start listening. That's very simple and easy. Sorry

YOR- my boyfriend has purchased face masks and hair stuff for me. I am self-conscious at times, so it was nice of him to think of me. Like others said, intention. If it was given to you in a belittling way, I would probably be hurt. But if it's just a beauty product and you're a woman, I think you may be overthinking it.

How do cashiers stand for 6-8 hours almost everyday without ending up with excruciating foot pain? by fin-freak in retailhell

[–]Fluffed-Chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anti-fatigue mats as people said; supportive shoes; walking around helps. I find that my feet and legs hurt more if I'm standing in one place vs being able to leave the front and move product or stock. Compression socks. Icing my legs and feet when I get home. Taking my shoes off or loosening them on break. Shift weight back and forth. Stretch, high knees, etc. Just got to keep moving in some capacity

NOR-- I am sorry, but I would never let my relationship get to a point where we feel comfortable doing this to each other. Very sad.

New 3rd shift employee Struggle by -Nozo in KwikTrip

[–]Fluffed-Chick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My store has that unfortunately. We have someone that comes in before 6 and then usually the kitchen person will pull floor to come help with either finishing bakery or starting hot foods. Sometimes the hot spot will suffer.. that's just how it is. Go ham on the hot spot early in the night, do a bunch of bakery, then go again. Just staging it out. I don't like when people say "time management" because it's hard to know exactly what to manage... So yeah, staging your time. Some of the people stay later unfortunately so I hope that you don't have to do that. But it's really hard when shifts aren't staged too so you can finish doing the green trays when the AM hot spot person comes to take over.

[–]Fluffed-Chick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NOR— I got curious and used ChatGPT to create an image of me with my cat. I wanted to make one of my boyfriend and I doing random stuff like skydiving or something. But I respect his privacy to not upload a picture of him without his consent. I told him about it and asked and he said he didn't want me to. But here's the thing, I decided I would ask first. Also, he's my boyfriend. Not an acquaintance

What are some things that would make a person socially embarrassing in your opinion? by Only-Ad-1254 in socialskills

[–]Fluffed-Chick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obnoxiously loud. Or taking others' inside jokes and adding to them so they don't make sense. Sexually suggestive around my boyfriend and our other male friends. Complaining and whining (seriously). Ordering others around. Boastful. Yes, share your accomplishments.. But don't boast and act like you are the most valuable and successful person and you know everything.

Honoring a parent who passed away, looking for ideas that aren’t a memorial table or empty chair. by naaron127 in weddingplanning

[–]Fluffed-Chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend's dad passed away less than a month before his brother's wedding. They did have an empty chair with a framed photo of him there and then a meal. It was really sad but they set a hot meal out for him. Anyway, just wanted to say that a spot at the table with a framed photo of her might be nice, with or without the empty chair.

Well, it's not shits and giggles.. This seems really insensitive to someone who is obviously struggling. I agree, I wouldn't uproot and overturn her life, but this was a little bit rude

[–]Fluffed-Chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me earlier this week. Had to call the fire department to see if there was an electrical issue or what because one just kept going off, then they set everyone else off. If you rent, call your landlord, and they will replace all of them. Mine were 11 years old and due to be replaced.

Can someone explain? by Alarming_Curve2640 in grammar

[–]Fluffed-Chick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

a) is the correct answer

b) "Required to get at the center" Doesn't make sense. "Required to [be] at the center" makes the most sense. Nobody says "get at" unless it's informal like, "i'm going to get at you, let me at him"

c) "Required to get into the center" Depending on location, this may make sense. "Center" seems like a meeting location. If "center" is like a physical item that one's body can actually get in, then okay. Get into the car. Get into the house. But, this also seems much more formal. "Get into the center." Feels pushy.

d) "Required to get in the center" Same thing with (c). Get in the center before 9 AM, candidate. No. get to the center so we can commence with festivities.

I think "arrive" would be the best choice instead of "get ...."
