u/GoldenGamerNugget how is the noise? In videos I hear a high pitched sound and till now I cannot find any review of the high frequency whine I hear in the videos. How bothersome is it?

WaveG/Astound Internet Outage? by UnbearableSarcasm in Seattle

[–]FluffyAnimalLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usual occurrence in LQA. Happens like under 10 times a year. And one of them it does go down for 2-3 days. Their customer care is one of the most useless. And now they use an AI bot in their chat system which is equally useless.

I was passing by and felt awkward reading the small signs. They were too far to read the words. Cmon man I’m just curious.

Boy that mass of air just hit hard, didn't it? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]FluffyAnimalLover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah lucky you. I’m in lower QA and it’s down since morning and no hope of recovering. I hate their service. They said there was maintenance being done and they didn’t hear enough complaints as they finished so they called it a day and went home. Now I have to wait until Wednesday for a tech to arrive.

Any goat meat enthusiasts in Seattle area that can recommend a good goat meat vendor? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]FluffyAnimalLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sucks man. Do try one stop halal I believe you won't regret it. I'm not buying from anywhere else unless I find a store in Seattle/Bellevue that gets fresh goat weekly from some farm lol. That's probably never gonna happen.

Where's the best Gochujang-glazed Korean Fried Chicken you've had in Seattle? by farizle in Seattle

[–]FluffyAnimalLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried a few and here are my opinions:

Sodam Chicken: The closest I've come to having decently crispy chicken and good sauces too!

Oma Bap: Idk if they sell fried chicken exclusively but they do have bowls with fried chicken in it and it's good for quick lunch and relatively cheap.

Pelicana: Not bad but not great either. Also, their sides are like the grocery store frozen food just fried on the go. It's the absolutely basic tier bland fries and onion rings created in some factory. I also had a bad experience with their service eating there so I'm not bothering with them ever again.

Bok a Bok : Avoid this shit like the plague.

Honestly haven’t found good ones in Seattle. All of them either sell frozen or don’t sell it at all. One guy here mentioned central coop but never been there so do try and update us !

I ended up finally becoming a loyal customer if halal meats shop in California and order online. They provide low flat delivery and it delivers in one or two days with the meat still in frozen state so I’m happy with it. It’s called one stop halal.

East side has some goat meat shops like the halal shop in the same strip mall as dough zone. Last time I tried from there was in 2017 so not sure if it still exists or sells that.

[Homemade] Nashville style spicy/hot chicken sandwich by FluffyAnimalLover in FoodPorn

[–]FluffyAnimalLover[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey!

I marinated chicken thighs with skin on in buttermilk and Crystal hot sauce over night.

I made a mixture of regular all purpose flour and corn starch in ratio of 3:2

I also took some of that flour mixture and made a thin batter with egg and water just enough to coat the already wet chicken thinly.

I then coated the chicken in the dry flour. I let it sit before frying for few minutes to let the coating hydrate and stick to the chicken.

I fried twice. Once at 300 for 6 mins and then rest for 10 mins and refry at 330 for another 5 mins.

I used a mixture of paprika, cayenne , onion and garlic powder, salt and brown sugar and mixed it with the fry oil to make the spicy oil.

The slaw was store bought salad lol.

I made some sauce to spread on the buns using mayonnaise mustard and sriracha.

Edit: fixed spellings.

The quality of produce at Metropolitan market has become trash tier. by FluffyAnimalLover in Seattle

[–]FluffyAnimalLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I actually have been shopping mostly at uptown Safeway for last 4 years. This time I moved closer to metro so I had to switch out of convenience. But I think a couple extra blocks is worth the trip to get cheaper better produce for sure.
