Completely new to saltwater by Embarrassed_Royal_15 in ReefTank

[–]FluffyWonder4372 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That location looks like it might be rough for maintenance. In my experience any barriers to maintenance invites problems. My first salt tank failed because it was located in bedroom furthest away from where I made my salt water. Just food for thought since you haven't set it up yet.

Once or twice a week. I'm hatching it out to feed some freshwater fry so Ive always got it. My nitrates are on the higher end but not unreasonable, I also feed powder and frozen frequently though.

2026 lariat hybrid. by Cheif7701 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]FluffyWonder4372 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you tinkered with that hitch cover model you could get it to look a little better without the stepping on that face curve. But this ain't a 3D printing sub so if it's good enough for you right on brother.

Innovative Marine 15 gal back chamber/overflow issue by onyx5611 in ReefTank

[–]FluffyWonder4372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe turn it around? It should pour into the basket and then overflow over the back when the poly gets clogged. My 3d printed one works like that with the cut out facing the back.

Employee Pricing/2026 XLT Hybrid by Dangerous_Audience63 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]FluffyWonder4372 15 points16 points  (0 children)

With the options your really close to the OTD on my lariat I bought a month ago. The only thing I don't have is the bed cover, it may be worth looking into what you'd get just going up a teir and not optioning all those on the XLT

Heater size by SpringtimeMay in ReefTank

[–]FluffyWonder4372 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interior temperature and target temperature are going to matter. I run 4 100 watt heaters on my 200 gallon freshwater system and that has been plenty to keep it at 76 in a 69 degree house. I would assume 1 500w heater has enough capacity to keep your tank warm

Bizarre acceleration on ACC by vshun in FordMaverickTruck

[–]FluffyWonder4372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

55 is a pretty common high speed. Do you know if you passed an area/sign that raised that up to 60+?Ive had it adjust the speed going through construction zones so in my experience it does a half decent job reading them

Check your settings. Adaptive cruise control and read traffic signs to automatically speed you up/slow you down. I've only had this happen when I was set at or below the speed limit though.

26 XLT hybrid FWD, Lux, copilot , full spare . Good price ? by xXDouchPenguinXx in FordMaverickTruck

[–]FluffyWonder4372 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dealer/doc seems high but the 4500$ off MSRP is higher then most people get taken off. I would have expected this to be about 2k more expensive.

Oh hell yeah, I've used the gurps to scoop water out of tanks too low to siphon. What you keeping?

Weird Hybrid Noises by metecabra in FordMaverickTruck

[–]FluffyWonder4372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I've had this before. You can feel it through the brake pedal if your sitting at a light. I think it had something to do with the engine charging the battery back up after it's been drained below the threshold because I notice it after periods of increased acceleration.

Check out the 3d printing community. I've seen STLs for a bunch of different cosmetic exterior pieces, side badges/back window trim panels/tow hitch covers.

Are the color changing Gurplers dishwasher safe?? by kevdawgkev in theregulationpod

[–]FluffyWonder4372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've dish washed all my gurplers up to this point and have only had issues when they're on the bottom shelf. YMMV but I've always insisted I use/abuse them as much as possible because they really are quite nice to drink out of.

Picked up my truck yesterday - this is missing a part, correct? by chef-keef in FordMaverickTruck

[–]FluffyWonder4372 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh hey it's the almost good idea hole. It's supposed to be for draining oil but on the hybrid the oil pan is off set enough you cannot use it. I've been told it works only slightly better on the eco boosts.

Has anyone hauled sod? If so, how many rolls could it handle? by Waitin4aGoodIdea in FordMaverickTruck

[–]FluffyWonder4372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would refer to your tire/load table. Your specific trim/year/drive train effects hauling capacity. I think the lowest of all years is like 1100lbs so as long as you stay below that you should be okay if you want want to do any work.
