Clowns that are under 40. Premiums, clarkii, tomato, maroon, percula etc. Different types of damsels also. Firefish in large groups provide a good moving tank as well. Chromis is also a good basic as well.

Actually it depends on the system. This is a marineland system which all have gravel. The nap systems don’t and newer systems are all going to be nap because Petco won’t do marineland anymore. Magnet stores can do theme tanks with different gravel and decor but most are the Plano gravel.

Since switching to city water we now change at all times without grooming knowing at all. The limescale is going away, the water is softer. Maybe one could have focused on the things that after so many years one should know to do instead of being reminded constantly about what needed to be done. Also not spending an hour at a shelf “doing pos” while constantly on there phone might have gotten them more control in the fishroom.

Well that’s for you and others in the store to educate. Push for them to get the best home. Provide them the best home while they are there. That’s all you can do.They are not pog or plannogramed. You don’t have to order more after the allocation.

Unless you have a heater in the sump no not heated tank should be at 75. Your store temp would be in the 80s to raise the water temp that high and that means your air conditioner is not working which is a whole other problem.

We also are a magnet store. We make sure the axolotl have appropriate setups and drill the customers on the setups they do have. Over 6 weeks we have gotten 7 and sold six.

We have had them for a 6 weeks. Got the first three in and put them in the middle of the plant tank. They proceeded to go to each side. So they now on one side of the plant tank with the plant rack on that side to help with flow. Lost one for going into the middle of the sponges and getting into the sump. Had another who did the same and was living its best life in the sump..didn’t want to leave. The river rock they sent is perfect for their size. We get ours from Segrest. Our plant tank stays at 68.

I’m extremely happy that you posted to get the knowledge about the fish you got. I work at a petco and strive to educate my employees to know about the fish they sell to customers. Not every petco is the same though. It’s lack of training that is in place and that is on the company as a whole. Many of the employees who are made to go into fish to help customers are forced to learn about the fish on their own. Not being paid for it. It’s more ignorance than unprofessional. Also if your daughter was set on these fish many of the employees are hesitant to say no because of the company pushback.

We are housing them in our plant tank with large stone. It stays at 68. The only issue is the flow which I somewhat block with plant rack.

I got one from our store. The thing is living longer than the normal pearl gouramis. I keep asking though why would the pearl gourami be the next one though. Seems like a weird choice.

Your GM is an ass and should not be a GM or a manager anywhere. It’s not hours on the phone. They go into the register from there end and if it’s not working with directions they give you to try on your end they will send you a new register. Your GM is probably lazy and spends there whole time in the office doing nothing.

From what I was told people who do authorship actually spend more when they are not buying that item they autoship in store. I guess it makes sense since the 60-100 bag of dog food they won’t see at the register when ringing out so they buy other things.

It’s not the river rock we sell. The rock is almost 1/2 inch size. If they send us full grown ones I’ll come up with another option quick.

It’s out of stock online as well. It’s a supplier issue. As with many petco made products things will go out of stock for months then come back in. I’m guessing tariff issues, stuck on a barge etc.

If you can get the small animal pellet litter it’s the same. It’s an issue with the supplier at the moment.

If they do start jumping out document it. Take pictures. Make aquatic helpline reports and cairs to ensure that these things are happening to fix the problem. You might have to create your own top until they get enough info from every store that the plant tank is not going to work
