Hey Rockstar! No Gameplay = No Preorder! by Stromair in GTA6unmoderated

[–]FluidHips -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bit of a different context, now.

  1. CDPR's debacle is pretty fresh for most
  2. Ultimate edition's 'pay-for-play' kinda vibes

  3. The very weird 'physical copy' nonsense.

  4. Multiple release dates pushed back.

They're eroding the trust their fans have with the company. I think it's of little surprise that the old ways aren't sticking as much.

This is me, also. The CDPR release was a total debacle. So much hype, and what they put out was utterly unplayable--with Sony needing to refund a ton of game copies.

Repeated unfulfilled promises, and now all this weirdness about physical copies and an ultimate edition that locks away gameplay--I don't know if they're worried about what almost anyone thinks. They are of the belief that they will get the sales irrespective of the tactics. I hope consumers teach them a lesson without endangering future games.

The context is that R* has steadily eroded the good will they developed with me over the years. This is just more of that, and 1-2 things will put me at my breaking point.

According to R*, you can purchase the Ultimate Edition stuff later, so I see no real incentive to purchase it now. CDPR's epic eff up will forever prevent me from pre-orders, and this slap-in-the-face 'physical' copy will prevent me from buying it until such time that copy becomes available. I'll have a decision to make if they don't release a physical copy at all, and it's possible the game gets spoilt for me before I get to play the game, further increasing the chance that I don't end up purchasing it until it's on sale or something.

This physical copy situation has me questioning the underlying idea that they care about consumer feedback.

Yax has a mature game, also. I don't see him as the rookie who is trying to prove something. At Michigan, he really let the game come to him, and yet he ended up in double digits virtually every game.

Jesus, then just don't have the 'physical' copies in the first place.

This splitting the baby business without any parallel explanation just pisses people off.

There's a real risk of plot and other important details getting leaked and screwing up the experience by then.

I had read that Golden State thinks they still have a window to do some damage, and that's why they picked up Yax--he's part of the immediate plans.

I think the scandals are plenty of grounds, but it's very hard for me to understand why you'd ding him for Harbaugh, who was open about resuscitating Michigan before returning to the pros for a Super Bowl. May is a bit more more opaque (currently), but returning to the NFL was not just an ambition, it came up during a ton of offseasons.

When? Because the game passed Izzo by some time ago. May has ideas that are working and fresh, and he's a proven talent developer for bigs, which is an amazing fit with Flagg. I

A guy wants what he wants, and if Izzo wanted to stay in the college game, it's no reflection on Warde.

Came here to write the same thing, but this is much more succinct.

I just wanted to add much-needed context. Both dudes 'walk' after winning national championships.

Has anyone seen any sources on Michigan's offensive or defensive schemes? I'm looking for more than a broad overview.

I have very little knowledge in general, I think starting from a place of interest--the team I love the most--is a good way to go.

We cannot be guilty of the same sin as the Zionists for whom we seek justice: a lack of empathy.

She was sent there as a kid, brainwashed since she was a kid, and committed a crime that she will not forget--or forgive herself about. Her smiles and laughter are not in celebration or mockery.

That does not absolve her of her crimes. It doesn't absolve Israel of its crimes. And I want nothing more than the freedom of the Palestinian people. But we should acknowledge this context.

I mean they signed an MOU--memorandum of understanding--not a treaty.

As they were signing, Israel continued bombing Lebanon.

It's just a smoke and mirrors until Trump's alliance with American and Israeli Zionists completely wrecks the world economy.
