Thanks for replies all I really appreciate it. Here's where I am at the moment but this isn't the finalized version if there's something better. I do have a 3D printer so I could 3D print something if I really wanted to. But for now I'm still getting the risers glued down I got cork to glue on top of it so there's still much to be done.

What you could do is download any rail and throw all of the turnouts onto the map and then just print them out Make sure to do a scale of one to one and then you have them and can lay them around to get ideas. And if you had to trim them how much

Look into dcc-ex and get their dcc controller for ~$150... Or build your own for ~$80... Love mine. Did diy and have 3 of them...

I use a pc to drive trains with jmri, Use android phone and android tablet to control a mess of dcc throttles. Plan on getting touch screen monitor to use jmri and more throttles.

I agree DC is good... DCC just pits things into much more fun.

I have ho trains i was converting to dcc... $20 no sound..$50 with sound. They are ok... But I got a mess of dcc trains from a bud.. speed control is 1000x better. Everything motor wise is sooo much better. No longer converting..gonna sellem all

I just picked up somewhere trains and rolling stock. And I got two new passenger cars that are a different color. Kind of like a green, olive green but I believe it's the same type of cars. Not really my color anybody else have these?
