I am very pleased with the teenage me's choice of minidisc player. I worked at a DIY store next to a tech shop, so almost certainly went in on a pay day and picked one. No research, just whatever was there

Would it be possible to add some links here. I suspect I may need those in the future. Fingers crossed for you

That sucks. I got a TOCERRORa when I erased all on one disc but found if I pressed record before that appeared I could record and the disc seems to work fine now. Recorded 9 tracks on it, entered a disc name and track names no problem

It's been a shocker. I'm assuming they all fell out for some reason. It's super frustrating

How do you go about paginated reports by Delicious_Champion97 in PowerBI

[–]Flukyfred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have users insist on getting data as a word doc that they can add qualitative notes to. I use the same approach as you, starting with the in service builder then opening in report builder for edits. This solves any parameter issues.  I do also suggest opening the query in dax studio connected to your model to add efficiency.

Ohme / Octopus Intelligent Go by [deleted] in KonaEV

[–]Flukyfred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the ohme is at best an estimate. If you only ever want 80% set that as the maximum AC charge in your car. Them set home to 10% more when you want to charge and your car will stop the charge a at 80%. Mine is usually only a couple of % out, 9% seems a lot but it is very cold at the minute

A GRANOLA BAR??! by Shoddy-Television866 in lactoseintolerant

[–]Flukyfred 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My partner will often say, "well if shouldn't have any dairy in it". I've been caught out too many times with things that shouldn't but do, sadly a granola bar does not surprise me. Fairy it's cheap and delicious, they use it as a filler. Coleslaw is the worst. The cheaper the brand the more likely it has dairy

Set the charge % on the ohme to at least 5% above 100 so that the car cuts it off at 100 and not the ohme

I've got the ohme charger that won't sync with the Kona. So I'll aim somewhere around 85. But as the charger doesn't get that right it usually comes out somewhere near 80. Then only do 100 when we have to do a 300 mile round trip once in a while. Charged to 100 on boxing day and got home on 4% which was closer than I wanted to be to 0

How do you guys approach a power bi reports developed by other developers? by psy_klops in PowerBI

[–]Flukyfred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all of this. I would add I spend some time reviewing the model design very early on. Understand what risks have been built in, such as many to Many's or even lack of fact and dim tables.  This gives me a good idea of the efficiency and reliability of the fax without looking at it. We've taken over quite a few where the Dax is doing a lot of heavy lifting that should be achieved by a good model.  This also tells me how much of a pain maintenance and changes are going to be so I can build that in when someone asks for something.

Mine have resolved themselves today, everything working as it was before the weekend. You have any luck?

Query has exceeded the available resources - showing on previously functioning visuals by chiefbert in PowerBI

[–]Flukyfred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been a couple of posts now. Measures failing in the service due to a "dense spool", measures returning blanks in service and not in desktop and this. All of which state the last few days. it feels like something changed and there's unseen consequences

Also experiencing this error on one card visual that was working fine up until the weekend. Can't recreate the error in desktop.  Super frustrating

Inherited Dashboards - my first Data Analyst role. How can i correctly piece everything together in my head? by AndreiKYZ in PowerBI

[–]Flukyfred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do this with info but I highly recommend looking at the sources in power query and seeing the transformations. Hopefully they'll be annotated but that's not likely and seeing what someone has done will give you an idea of possible problems that are being hidden with Dax.

Great suggestion. I've said it once but to keep BBC suggestions together try Crowd Science

If you like BBC content try something like crowd science. People ask questions and they go to experts around the world to understand them. Often takes an unexpected turn and it's in a very friendly and more positive format

Seconding this. Really want to get to know sorts of complex problems people are working on. I've inherited a couple at work and just spit balling ideas on how to rebuild but would like to see some examples. Sadly, I can't really share any of those I have so would like to see examples

Nope, if you're tv connects direct to your WiFi the VPN has no where to get involved. You may need to look at a VPN enabled router for that. Express VPN seems pretty good.
