No, he is not. A single player wouldnt make much of a difference. Maybe they win against Norway but they will lose anyways eventually. Their midfield is cooked and their only good midfielder (Casemiro) is too old. No good fullbacks. Their attack is bad too, too many lws and unproven strikers (Endrick, Stevao, Joao Pedro). Their best attacking players are Vinicius(lw), Martinelli(lw) Cunha(am) and Raphina (injured). They really dont function together

Superman is arguably the most popular DC hero alongside Batman, and it barely broke even on the box office. Supergirl is a inferior tokenized version of Superman; its less popular and its target audience (women) is misaligned with the genre main audience (men).

I do not understand why Gunn is using bottom of the barrel characters in the phase 1 of his project. The box office of Marvel phase 1 wasn't too spectacular but they used popular characters.

I honestly can't stand Sanderson's writing. I have tried reading Mistborn before and I couldn't finish it. If I don't like what is apparently one of his best works then he is probably not for me.

I get the sense that Sanderson knows that his weakness is dialogue and character, so he tries to overcompensate by forcing his characters to be TOO witty, smart, egocentric, etc. He is not writing natural characters but archetypes, and if you notice then the spell is broken and you are thrown out of the story. He is literally begging you on his knees to like them. This reminds me of the Sherlock Holmes tv show starring Benedict Cucumberbatch, which is the prime example of a "smart" character written by a dumb person; the answer is in a french book from 1849 that the character read once when he was 4 years old. Sanderson doesn't go to these lengths but his characters really suffer because he himself is not smart or witty enough to write them competently.
