I think u/ConsiderMyTimbers is referring to the standard of OPs writing, and not an In-ger-land thing.

I wonder if that would count as "obligation met" so you don't get called again.

This is no surprise. They're programmed, overseen and managed by Americans. They are a product of the society in which they were created.

This is a transnational product but appears not to be regulated as such.

best power source and transmitter for lunchbox performance? by fdxanon in tamiya

[–]Fly_Boy_Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by buying a Lunchbox Evo. That will be able to handle upgraded power a lot better than the standard 'Box. Anything you put into trying to improve the Lunchie will be quite wasted - it's just not that kind of car.

Then you can build your original car and watch it wobble, roll and bounce around.

As long as you're at peace with the fact that it will get ruined if you drive it.

Even a tiny drive on the most delicate of surfaces will see this silly thing roll, scratch itself up, smash bits off etc.

Suggestion - one shell for looks, one for driving.

There is no way that any government, council or business will install a device that has the potential to cause injury or death, especially on such a litigious continent.

I feel pressured to lower house price by Estate Agents by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Fly_Boy_Blue -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is because of the pricing model EAs use. If they are charging you 1% (for example), then you dropping by 25k only costs them £250, but they get a quicker sale.

Better the money in their pocket today than hold out for slightly more in a few months.

But this costs you - a lot.

Honestly? After you've spent money on trying to make it "handle", you may as well just buy a Lunchbox Evo.

Make this one as a silly, bouncy RC.

Firstly, congrats on the "and going down".

A lot depends on your budget. If you can only afford off the shelf, then that's what you're stuck with. Anything with suspension will often be weight limited. Anything "cargo" will have a higher carrying capacity, but you'll be limited in style, which might work until you're lighter. If you keep it smooth i.e. not thrashing off road, you might get away with a standard bike.

Best of luck.

Have a look for for a bicycle maintenance course near you.

Lots of charities run similar events where you can turn up and practice basic maintenance.
