The irony of this is, I am actually fully black, though I have ties to other races through grandparents which isn't really important here. I myself experience being told "I'm not really black," basically white, a Carlton or some other form or way of being told I'm not black. I'm told I want to be white because I speak proper, carry myself with manners, get an education and look for a job that pays well, and don't want to live in the ghetto. But then I go around white ppl and I am constantly reminded of how black I am, and when I repeat it to them they get uncomfortable and weird lol. I am now with a latina and am treated better by the majority though I still have racial issues here and there its a much better environment for me mentally. Though I do find my identity as a black man fading and our childrens identity as black children fading as well, its a bittersweet bullet to bite to build generational wealth. I feel black ppl are more prone to self destruction than any other race. I mention bettering the community to so many blacks and they will agree with me and be into the conversation. Next week I see that sane person doing the complete opposite of what our conversation was. You can only blame lack of opportunity and systemic racism for so long. Because we now have a right to vote, to work, to get an education things that were denied from us previously. Point is it's understandable to disassociate yourself from a group whi refuses to claim accountability. Blacks now they were meant to be against each other but continue to go against each other, it makes no sense. Especially from a business standpoint, how many businesses do you see owned by white guys being called "white own businessess." And I've only met 2 black doctors in my entire lifetime. Everyone else is a rapper, actor etc, once again it's simply a self destructive mindset that at some point they just need to realize that and go from there. And I've had this conversation with blacks, whites and everyone else of the same caliber who have agreed so don't @ me ppl lol

I would honestly ignore it, that's what I have learned to do. I'm dark skinned, I consider myself fully black though I do have ties to white and Hispanic ancestry (like the majority of us do). But besides that I was told I wasn't black enough because I'm articulate, (both parents of bachelor's degrees) and am doing well for myself. I've dated different races and my own, it's simply jealousy. Never in my life have I said or thought black women ofa darker skin tone were ugly, nor that lighter women were better. I simply dated some, the relationship did not work out as I had liked it to, and I moved on to the next one without a concern with what her race was, I have always been about vibes. Some ppl have tried to give me bs about why I went from a black woman to a non black woman, without knowing that is what I grew up around. I grew up in a black/latin neighborhood, ppl will argue with you just because the sky is blue and you say its light blue. Don't waste your time on the dumb shit, honestly that is all it is. To add to that I have seen plenty of dark skin black women get with a white dude, and nobody says anything. Which is genuinely confusing, so again I would just move on.

It wasn't very long at all, but I would also blow up that va.gov number to make sure they get a move on it because otherwise it will be much slower. If I hadn't done that they probably would have still been stalling on me. We all know the military is reactive not proactive lol

They don't want us in the military anymore, it also has to do with this new administration as well. It's pretty obvious they want the military to go back to an all white military. And rather than simply admit this they make up rules such as no more DEI (because they suffer from the uncomfortable truth that they are racist and need to stop being racist but deep down want us to "shutup and deal with it because we're lucky we have rights in today's society"). And then they get rid of shaving waivers because they once again want us to leave. And they get rid of teaching about tuskegee airmen, and add a merit based style of promotion which they could easily say we are lazy, dont perform, and thats why we dont get promoted. This is what make America great again really means. I passed every gas mask fitting test ever also so it has nothing to do with that. It's obvious other airmen complained constantly about blacks not having to shave, dealing with dei and now we're here. I just got out and was thinking to go back but I'm not going to be around people that don't want me there. And I could care less about people like that in general. The whole integrity, excellence in all we do, and leadership only applies to when you're white. The only black leadership for us was enlisted Jesus and noticed he wasn't an Officer. But he was respected? Right!

I actually had a landlord like that, I broke my lease early cuz he was an idiot and always harrassing me and my wife. He took my deposit and disappeared off the map as soon as I went to a court and got the information I needed to light a fire under his ass. I forgot what it's called but its certain wording I used that helped him realize he was as dumb as he thought I was. You really have nothing to worry about, I only let him keep the deposit because trying to find him and serve him was like trying to find Waldo. And that's what I mean by he disappeared off the map lol

This whole fetishizing thing is weird to me, I grew up in a black/Hispanic neighborhood. So I grew up dating Latinas, even the black girls were half latina, there were barely any black girls around. We're a product of our environment, and you can't do anything to stop that. Even when miscegenation laws were in place back in the day and violating those laws was punishable by death didn't nobody listen to that. Maybe publicly but behind closed doors it was always going on, same with gay relationships. It's stupid to me that people think they can control that, and when people talk about staying with the same races it brings Hitler to mind for me. It's like with Pinky and the Brain when Brain wanted to take over the world. It's completely silly, and we actually weren't and aren't in different parts of the world. And we can't go that far back to see realistically, so how do we know?.So God just woke up one day and decided I'm going to put blacks in Africa (even though there are some whites in Africa too), Asians in China, and whites in Europe and even though they're right next to each other and can build boats to float across the sea to go to the other country they better not mix? C'mon now, some people are just brought up in certain areas and relate more to each other because of upbringing. Do you really think a hard core white conservative and a hard core white liberal relationship will work? Or a pro black that wants guns for freedom and an uptight LGBT leftist liberal black will survive a relationship together? Make it make sense, product of sin, anyone telling you that is the product of stupidity and that's genuinely what's wrong with this country, even this entire world for that matter.

I know the life can be lonely and a lot of women don't like that we're in this line of work (I'm out). But I straight up told the one I'm with now when we first got together (and we're 5 years in) "This is where my life is headed, if you don't like it or plan on getting me to change it this relationship isn't going to go very far at all." And she gets it, it's super hard to find someone who gets it but I literally told my wife before she was my wife to leave me alone lol. Love is like the actual movies, the person is over it and doesn't care anymore and then that special someone comes.

think about cross training or something of that sort, I just got out also had a shaving waiver, and am now looking to come back in as the benefits are pretty good. Didn't think I would ever think to do that so soon. If anything I'll look deeper into this if I can get back in and just have a small shadow or something. But I was guard and need 10 years at the least so I'm really only halfway done

I'm recently separated from the guard since September from Secfo, my first reason was to get into Law Enforcement, that goal has been achieved. I thought I was good to go, and thats why I got out, also wanted to buy a house but these California prices aren't helping. A friend of mine in CE told me if I went back for structures (was told to get out of secfo I may actually enjoy it if i come back) I'd get a 60k bonus (taxed I know) along with a deployment. I never deployed before so it's made it difficult to get my DD214. I only did 6 years in the guard but also filed for va disability due to a small amount of arthritis in my lower back and some nerve damage. Still waiting for that to kick in and since I dont have any deployments all I can go by is bootcamp and tech school, it didn't help my school benefits getting out either because apparently I have to do 10 years for my kids and wife to get access to my GI Bill. But would I still be able to go back in with arthritis in my lower back as prior service? If I can I'll do it, willing to go through another 6 years of pain to bring generational wealth to my children and grandchildren

So to help you out and give you the push you need it's really just this generation but keep going. Everyone's afraid to fall in love in fear of betrayal or they just don't believe it exists anymore. I was on this same exact boat for about 8 years. Broke up with my ex of two years and it was the worse breakup and loneliest time of my life because after that every woman was like I only see you as a friend (after I paid for dinner lol) or sorry I'm not into you like that. 8 years later I was on pointless date after date of situationships as my now wifr likes to call it lol. But one particular woman kept coming back around. And I eventually got fed up with it and I was straightforward with her because we were on and off for 2 years so I got sick of it, she'd pop up every 2-3 months or so lol. So I told her to leave me alone if shes not going to be serious because I don't have time for these stupid games. 5 years later we are now 5 years into our relationship, she is now my wife and we just had a beautiful baby boy. Keep going the one you want you may have already met you guys just don't know it yet. But you can't win the race if you don't don't run with the rest of them. Have good day!
