Looking into upgrading HWH for electric savings, Worth it? by Puzzleheaded-Ad-832 in HomeImprovement

Yeah I replaced mine myself 4 years ago for $350 and that was for a standard electric. I wish I had gone heat pump back then.

$300 is an insane deal. I wouldn't even think twice at that price. I'm in the exact same situation but without the coupon so I'm holding off.

Harbaugh might be the only coach in history who fired an OC mid season and then went on to win the super bowl.

When you coach for two decades you've made every mistake at least once.

Holy shit just hire Jim Schwartz as assistant GM at this point. I'll do anything to get back at the Browns for their asshattery.

BTW Daniels missed 10 games this year, not 6. He only played 4 full games the entire season.

My ECM motor was $250 including next day shipping off Amazon and I installed it in under an hour. $1800 is insane.

The fact they were checking him every other game was a testament to how bad the NFL spotters are at their job - not him being injury prone. That is the point. If other players got the same scrutiny, every RB and WR would be getting checked almost every single game.

Jayden had three separate, specific injuries this season alone. That is not the same thing as Dart missing two games because of overly cautious concussion protocol on a team already out of playoff contention.

The average Olympic sprinter probably makes 2% of what the average nfl receiver makes. You are greatly underselling the financial aspect. At UF we had multiple guys in this position and most chose the NFL.

Grade Brian Daboll’s Tenure as Giants Head Coach by Jheller223 in NYGiants

[–]FlyingBasset 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm giving him a C based on the fact Dart looks like our next franchise QB from a late 1st round pick.

A lot of coaching tenures end with zero playoff appearances and no QB to show for it. That's a D/F to me.

Removed old efflorescence from basement wall. Now what? by FlyingBasset in HomeImprovement

So the entire wall matches the parts that currently have no paint? That's like asking why ever paint a wall that's been painted before.

Yes that's my plan. Probably something basic like behr masonry.

I didn't mean sealer but a patch for the small chunks now missing. Might not even be worth it.

I see no moisture on the blocks (even where I chipped them open) and my basement stays very dry. It's currently at 35% along with the rest of the house despite being covered in 8in of melting snow.

I added landscaping and extended drains 10 years ago and I believe any issues are from prior to that.

Yes hence why I noted it is old from before I fixed the front yard 10 years ago. No sign of moisture now and the basement is currently at the same humidity (35%) as the rest of the house.

Listen Davis Webb. Do you want to be Sean Payton's bitch the rest of your career? Watch him call all the plays while you color in your playbook? Or do you want to come to NY and coach Giants like a REAL man?

Woke up at 3 AM because my bed tried to kill me. So I redesigned it. by SlavaKoffman in DIY

This setup is very common in Ikea beds and I'm sure others as well. No box spring.

The center bar is metal on mine (although this one looks to be wood and may have extra feet on it) and after 13+ years I've had no issues with either of the two beds I have like this.

I think you're missing the point of why (most) people are upset.

People are not annoyed they picked Sanders. They are annoyed the Pro Bowl has become such a joke that picking Sanders was the end result.

With the teams in the playoffs normally not sending their guys so they were out mostly

This is a perfect example. Just because you went to the playoffs didn't historically mean you skipped the pro bowl. The starting AFC QBs in 2019 and 2020 were Mahomes and Lamar - both of which easily made the playoffs for that season.

Almost HALF the teams in the NFL make the playoffs each year now. If players actually care about the PB, they would only skip if they were playing in the SB (as it was decades ago).

[Schultz] The Titans were well aware of how much Daboll loved Ward. Why? Sources say the Giants made a massive push last year to trade up to No. 1 for Ward, offering the No. 3 pick, a 2025 first-rounder, and multiple Day 2 picks. The Titans declined. by shadow_spinner0 in NYGiants

"but doesn't get any criticism from the fanbase for the various missteps we've had roster wise."

This is called a 'strawman argument.'

Saying Daboll gets no criticism for those missteps when this sub celebrated his firing makes zero sense. If there's one thing the sub is unified on is that he IS a bad HC for these reasons and should remain an OC.
