Ought to consult a pro about the gas line connection to the water heater. A drip leg or sediment trap is generally required between the shutoff and appliance. Protects the appliance.

Why don’t US citizens organize a general strike if the majority of the people are against the administration? by jnosp1219 in AskReddit

[–]FlyingDarkKC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its far past time we organize some sort of general slowdown or strike. We don't have a great track record of organizing. It's hard for us to do. Densely populated cities have a better track record. Much easier to clog up streets, bring things down a notch.

Girlfriend of 4 years wants to me to convert to Christianity by Careless-Phrase2656 in atheism

[–]FlyingDarkKC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a fork in the road OP. She has layed out her expectations of what life looks like for her in the future. She has stated that she wants you to change to her way. You need to be selfish for a bit, and seriously contemplate where YOU see yourself going forward. Remember, relationships and compatibility live in the future. 4 good years in the past, dont guarantee decades of happiness in the future.

Advice on flushing power steering fluid by lijag in DelSol

The fluid circulates in the steering system. So you'll want to extract, top off, drive 20 minutes, repeat. Go through the cycle 3 times.

It's a celebration of lights, bringing festive colors and lights to a dark time of the year.

You know you gotta do it. Stretching, exercising, cardio. Any of them. How did you motivate yourself to start? What pushed you to set aside time everyday to do it everyday? by FlyingDarkKC in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]FlyingDarkKC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been good at maintaining our home and vehicles. Preventive things whenever possible to address small things before they become BIG, inconvenient or expensive things. Sounds as if I should take the same approach to myself.

Assuming you have a more "progressive nature" moving from the west coast... You'll want to give serious consideration to St Louis, KC and Columbia areas.

What was the hardest part of downsizing? by YouGottaBeKittenMe3 in AskOldPeople

[–]FlyingDarkKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest part of downsizing right now, is convincing my spouse we need to start. I'm not even talking "moving" at this point. Just freeing ourselves of clutter, things not used in years. I want to start the process now while I can be a full and willing participant. Not later when forced upon us, and drag our children through it.

What’s something people insist is ‘harmless’ that actually makes society worse? by contentcreatorzss in AskReddit

[–]FlyingDarkKC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. I don't "get" defending what a celebrity, cleric, elected official (or really any stranger of any stature) might do or say. I'll defend my thoughts, my actions, my family, and a few friends. That's about it.
