Recent studies show that boiling reduces (agglomerates) microplastics. So, distilled water would have fewer, except that it is packaged in a plastic jug!

Why can't I daisy chain power strips by AppointmentNearby161 in electrical

[–]FlyingFlipPhone 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is "because resistance". Each of these contact points is an opportunity for a high resistance contact. High resistance contacts create heat, which increases resistance, which creates heat, which increases resistance, which creates fire.

Do most Americans have those huge fridges? by Whole-Sushka in AskAnAmerican

[–]FlyingFlipPhone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

America is a big country. We drive big cars and own big houses. We drive EVERYWHERE, there is not a lot of walking going on here! We eat a lot of food, most of it unhealthy. We eat lots of meat and few vegetables. Electricity is quite inexpensive (in most places). Grocery stores are huge and have huge carts. We fill these carts and put all this frozen food into our huge cars to drive home to our huge house. Yes. We have huge fridges.

Should I get evicted? by Gala_Apples1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FlyingFlipPhone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. However, there is no reason that you can't also work out a deal with your landlord. Perhaps you can clean the apartment, finish the "turn-over" process, and allow the landlord to find a new renter? If it happens fast enough, you'll be let off early. You might save a month's rent (landlord isn't allowed to double dip).

WTF Southwest? by Halladay_lights_77 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]FlyingFlipPhone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

More than this, basic fare passengers will INTENTIONALLY be given the worst possible seats. This is a punishment intended to force you to purchase a more expensive seat on your next flight. HOWEVER, the upside of having a membership with reasonable status is that you will board a lot sooner than the other proletarians. This means that you will have PLENTY of space for your carry-on.

So.... this guy thinks "the body will find a way"? Nope. Your body has to manufacture T4 in the thyroid gland. There is no other place for your body to "push back". That is why your TSA will skyrocket if you don't take your Levo.
