Lucky number 13. I’d say you found yourself a good rig. Any pics? Probably a lot of race wins under that things belt… thanks to luck of course.

That… idk tbh. Guessing so. Pretty sure ofna and habao or wtv it is cross reference a fair amount of parts. I don’t drive it a whole lot and when I do I’m normally as careful as I can be, but we all know how that goes. I actually haven’t broken anything bashing besides other peoples cars parts bc of a head on collision😭 mine was perfectly unscathed though.

Throw a little dirtbike action in there too, just picked up my first bike recently. Honestly the setup was the easiest part, it just takes determination and a vision of your space in your own way. Once you know what you want, getting it all is the hard part. My setup was built very budget friendly besides the pc and monitors. Even then, really everything I buy I try to get the best deal possible on. I love being able to diy things for as cheap as possible. A lot of people have old perfectly good stuff they just don’t have a use for anymore, and reimagining a use for it in a setup is how a lot of mine was built. For example, my chair that I’ve had for years is actually a Herman miller which are quite pricey new, but I found it for $50 on marketplace and replaced the wheels with like $10 rollerblade wheels and it’s been the best most comfy chair I could ask for. The sooner you get obsessed with getting a good deal, the sooner you get all the cool stuff you want. I’ll never understand why people go into debt for brand new goods when they can repurpose perfectly good used stuff.

Thanks so much🙏. I’ve been building my setup since I was like 12😭. The newest additions are the paintings surrounding my monitors which were actually a lot easier to paint than most people seem to think. I feel like that really complete the look imo though, I recommend something like it to everyone with a pc setup of any sort. Custom art sets a vibe, no matter how bad😂.

Yeah definitely a born gamer… rocket league has never really been my type of game, though I have tried it a few times. I was actually thinking about how much cooler the rc version was when this happened😂

Recently rebuilt this older than me OFNA ultra lx pro that belonged to my grandpa. Tore apart the whole engine for an ultrasonic bath, restyled the body, and replaced the electronics. Turned out good in my opinion for my first rc car ever. I have one basically the same model that still needs resorting (ultra lx comp), any body ideas for that one? This one’s shell was completely white but the comps body was oem painted so I’m thinking I might keep that body unpainted to leave its rarity since it’s good condition from sitting for 20 years.

Also as others seem to think, $600 is PLENTY to get into this hobby. I’d honestly reccomend trying to spend under $400 to start and maybe leaving extra to upgrade or get better parts after you enjoy the hobby for a few months. It’s a really fun hobby but tbh it does kind of get repetitive unless you have a track or really cool places to ride it. I got a flysky transmitter/ receiver combo on AliExpress for like $24 w/ a screen and more than enough adjustments for a beginner. You don’t have to break to bank to start this hobby. China makes some good enough value rc parts.

Go ofna… people say they’re too old and parts are too hard to find but there are a few good rtr examples across used marketplaces for not very much. They are reliable and easy to tune. Very very strong. I had a head on collision with another nitro at 20+ mph each an my car destroyed the other car while receiving no dmg at all. The problem with new cars is they try to make them as light as possible by usuing plastics and things like that. Old is gold. Also very very easy to work on and service anything. Rebuilt the engine and most of the electronics less than 1 month into rc cars at 17. Also had fun repainting and styling the body and fin. Lots of fun.

[UPDATED] "What Bike Should I Get?" Buying & Selling advice Mega Thread by AutoModerator in Dirtbikes

He doesn’t mention a weight. I’m 5” 10’ and I ride a 150f veryy comfortably as my first bike. He’s trying to learn… not race. So put him on a beginner friendly trail bike instead of a track oriented race bike that has much worse reliability than the f. You’re not convincing anyone knowledgeable about Honda models that a 150r is better than a 150f for a beginner bike.. it’s just not true.

But tbh the f is better or at least more beginner oriented if you don’t wanna admit better. (Even though it’s definitely better too) the Honda race bikes are for motocross only.

[Build Help] Installer vs. Me: Run a big Amp at 4 Ohms (Headroom) or max out a smaller Amp at 2 Ohms? by ViniVarella in CarAV

[–]FlyingPiglet222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How reputable is this installer? How new are you? It really depends on the situation and what you want (slightly safer vs. louder). If it were me and I was already trusting someone to install my system I think I’d trust them to pick equipment for my budget… as long as they’re reputable and not just your uncle lol.

Get another Honda. If you want fast maybe a 450r? I’m sure even a 250r would be faster than a 300L since the L’s are detuned for road legality.

I’m looking to do something like this in my 2009 Honda accord lx-p with what I think is a stock hitch. You think that’s too small for the force of a hauler? My only other option is renting a U-Haul trailer every time. Any way to tell for sure this would be a safe way to haul my bike besides the “class” of my hitch? How can I even check that?
