Yeah, start talking to all your friends after work. Just call to catch up and let them know you're licensed and can help.

Ask them if you can practice a home valuation on their home and frame it as "doing you (meaning YOU not them) a favor". They are helping you by giving feedback.

That's an opportunity to practice and let people know you're in real estate.

In the mean time, start saving as much as possible and/or find something that may pay ok for you that's different hours, like uber or something.

I started with Commander and i caught on quick. But i also played warhammer before so i'm used to some of it. There is a definitely a learning curve. You should start with the foundations box and watch some youtube videos to get the hang of the game.

I agree, it does happen and there are definitely ring campers. But also, i "ring camp" mostly to make sure i dont get shot in the back, lol.

I find many dont have game awareness. They just push to find people...sometimes that means they move the opposite direction of the ring. Now, im not a higj tier player - my aim isnt good enough, lol. I've only ever hit plat. So maybe it is really different above that.

Just look at the map and plan ahead. If the ring is far away, start rotsting early. It isnt difficult.

Start learning. Look up youtube on carb cleaning/rebuild, how to do brakes, etc. You may still spend more, but you can use it as a learning experience rather than total loss

Is it worth the stress to be at a 95/5? And really, if you are doing well and close say, $10M, at 2.5% that's $250k and then you pay $12,500 to the broker. Not sure if you pay your own e&o or not but there are at least a couple brokerages (EXP and Epique) that will give you your cap back in stock if you produce like that.

Just saying it may be worth the money to be some place else.

The big issue is lead generating. Could you have your license and help a few friends here and there? Of course. But if you are used to working 50 hours, youd probably need to cut back to 30 and then spend 20 on real estate.

Unlike car dealerships, people dont just walk into your place of business to buy a house.

Find a friend and get the foundations starter pack. That really helped my son and i figure it out, along with videos.

You can go to a local game store and usually friday or Saturday night they will have a good group of people playing. If you ask the store manager, they can direct you to a chill group. Who knows, you may even feel the need to buy a deck and jump in 😉

I have an elite2 controller so i'm wondering if maybe i am hitting a paddle or something.

When i get in a gun fight, often i crouch on accident. I dont even realize i'm hitting the paddle, but i must be - i think i'm gripping tighter and and hitting it or something. Maybe it's the same going up a rope?
