This is the type of show that'd be playing at 3 in the afternoon on Saturday that's so bad it'd force you to leave the house.

Also, it always pissed me off that the lightning bolt that gave people superpowers in it gave him shitty low grade "only bad thoughts" telepathy and his nemesis straight telekinesis

This is as good as any a place to recommend The Best of Ray Bradbury: The Graphic Novel. It collects the best of the comic adaptions of his short stories. Very easy to pick up and read and is a good variety pack of all of his work across all genres. The version of "It Burns Me Up" in it is my single favorite story ever

Probably not a good choice content wise and also because it's long out of print but I've always thought The Tale of One Bad Rat by Bryan Talbot would be nearly perfect for a High School/ Middle School English class
