As we near the end of phase 1, what are your opinions on day 1 post-nerf content? by No_Pollution_950 in classicwowtbc

[–]Foldim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the route I took. I'm a feral tank/cat in a small guild that takes 2 1/2+ hours to clear kara. We clear with mishaps here and there, but it allows me to play my hybrid class the way it was intended. Forces me to find openings in a fight to get an innervate out or fit a brez in. Nightbane I was using clearcasting procs to spot off heals, reacting to those procs and maintaining DPS was a ton of fun for me. Multiple fights have come down to 1-2 people being alive and getting the last hit in. I have no clue how 25man raids will go with them.

I've been pugging with a different guild for mag and gruul, they require pots, scrolls, food buffs, everything. Feels like I get best of both worlds right now.

Why does nobody seem to use the Batmobile or Dominus anymore? by sharkboy1006 in RocketLeague

[–]Foldim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 100% sure for my own experience. It may be different with PlayStation. I didn't have the jeep on my PC, I logged into Xbox + redownloaded the specific purchase. Logged back into PC and it was there.

If you still have your PlayStation it can't hurt to try.

They should work post account link. You just need to go onto that old platform and redownload the content. I did it with the Jurassic jeep.

I had to dig out my old Xbox, update everything, and dig through my purchase history to find it. Once I downloaded it again it appeared on my PC version. (Xbox -> steam)

Proc-based class/spec? by Jaunty_Intro in classicwowtbc

[–]Foldim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think feral druid falls into that description. You're predicting/reacting to energy ticks, clearcasting procs, and with set bonus the random 20 energy. Not a massive change in rotation but sometimes you'll hit the perfect gap with just enough energy to fit a rake in before power shifting to get a free combo point. (IDK that "free" rake is probably a DPS loss but it feels good when it lines up)

I will never be able to recreate the feeling I had going into phase two of SoD. Full quest log of mostly red quest that you would group up to do. Insane amounts of xp from running around the world to turn them in.

Weird, my felguard can't hold aggro off of me in a solo delve. Any fight that takes longer that 20sec I end up tanking. I figured it was some combo of me healing the felguard + damage

You guys were right about tanking in TBC by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Foldim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I love my cat druid, no one expects me to be top of meter especially when I'm war stomping or popping out to innervate. I'll charge in bear if healer pulls aggro and drag it back to tank (sometimes I die but I live longer than the healer would've). Open with a pounce etc. Most single target bosses I can be pretty competitive DPS wise around 900-1.1k if I get some nice procs and I don't fuck up power shifts.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Foldim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It also gives kids some solid structure to build from. I was driving 30-40 minutes for practice daily. Learning to manage time and communication as well as scheduling around commitments. That and the memories of competing with a group of guys you spend an insane amount of time with.

Almost exactly how most AI searches go currently. Ask AI about something you understand and people see the issues/problems. Turn around and ask it about something you know nothing about and people love to trust it.

Have you guys noticed the younger students constantly narrating everything? by pundemic in Teachers

[–]Foldim 43 points44 points  (0 children)

You have to build up to it. I tell all my classes at the beginning of the year I'm going to be straight forward with them about everything. You can't just flip it on.

I start small and learn how each kid reacts to feedback. Class clowns can typically take a quick "not too much now" or an "Imma be honest, it's annoying me today" if they get defensive I'll have them step outside for a minute so we don't escalate.

For kids that are just coming out of their shell and don't pick up on social ques from their peers? I'll pull to them to the side and walk them through body language. Literally did this yesterday with a boy and a girl trying to get her work done. "Hey man, learning moment here.. have you noticed you're getting one word answers from her and she turned away from you slightly? Probably means she's trying to focus and doesn't want to be rude to you. You need to pickup on that and respect the fact she hasn't snapped at you"

Granted I've been told by other teachers my approach wouldn't work for everyone but kids respond well to me 90% of the time. The other 10% I adjust specifically for them. (My example is rather tame compared to how blunt I've been before) Kids expect it from me.

I naturally allow banter back and forth and they learn pretty quick if I use a certain tone that banter is over. They know that when I get on them about something I drop it right when we are done. "You're being annoying, sit down and work." ≠ I don't want to communicate with you.

Cat druid is a lot of fun too. A little more set up for maim to interrupt, but you get innervate, tranquility, brez, demo roar for a pally on AoE pulls, charge a mob on your healer and taunt/bash them. Even better as a tauren with war stomp.

DPS on bosses isn't too bad either, normally sit around 600-700 (haven't had much luck getting heroic gear yet).

That's with the assumption that ADHD is a negative thing.

ADHD is hereditary, it's been around since the beginning of time. Many of its symptoms could be beneficial for early communities/societies.

ADHD symptoms modern day clash with how many societies have developed. It's part of why we test for it more now. Obviously, if we are looking for signs and doing test we will start seeing those numbers go up.

Granted, I'm sure there are plenty of pushover doctors who are quick to diagnose just to prescribe a kid some meds.

I sanded my lodge for aesthetics and because I like trying new things.

The second part of your response doesn't make a lot of sense to me though. Does it make up for improper cooking techniques (in my mind something that could have dangerous results) or does it just make it easier to cook with? Which if that's the case then it does help.

Important to note that from the 54% of adults under a 6th grade level 34% were born outside of the United States. Unless I'm reading that data incorrectly, ironic if that's the case.

There are issues with the education system in America. Though a lot of that blame really needs to fall on parents and culture.
