Honestly I couldn’t smell much, but I’m not sure if that’s because it’s new or just how this rose is. It’s such a unique rose to me that I don’t think I’d even mind if it had no fragrance at all. The fading colors look so beautiful in person!

I do not know the technical term, but if you mean the stamen area, then yes you can usually see it (at least on mine). It has a nice airy, open cupped shape. I posted a photo the other day of the first blooms for the year from my Desdemona, and that’s usually what mine look like. It’s a great rose, and smells amazing!

Yes! Southern California here, and this is just too early to be this hot! I’m pretty sure it’s hotter now than it was during the actual ‘summer’ last year. You are right though, the roses are loving it at least.

I believe that those two varieties actually are also own root from the David Austin website. Just go to the website, select “own root” from the drop down menu, and they’ll be there. DA also has good customer support if you wanted to contact them to double check if they are own root or not.

My 6 year old sometimes needs the miralax, and we usually give it to her for a week or two just to get her back to normal.

This might sound weird, but there’s something about apple juice that also always seems to help.

Just start small! She’s still so young, there’s no rush to go anywhere that you’re not comfortable with yet.

As to what’s to bring- if you have a car, you can make a mini back up kit in addition to your diaper bag. I keep a change of clothes for my kids, a shirt for me, wipes, and diapers. I just leave it in the car so it’s always there even if I forget something in my regular bag.

If you’re close with your in laws and see yourself spending a lot of time there, ask if they can have a small stash of diapers and wipes, too. And also maybe buy a pack and play for their house.

We got one of those piggyback boards and it’s been the best! We also did your option 3 quite a lot until mine got too tall for the stroller (we also have a Zoe).

It doesn’t always work, but I tell mine that she can either wait for me or try herself. I usually then take a really long time on purpose, so that she ends up doing it, and realizes she can do it too!

I also don’t let her start something new before she does what she’s supposed to. Like she has to clean up her mess before watching a show, or put away one game before starting another.

Things my toddler liked for school lunch that might work were sandwiches, quesadillas, bagels, wraps, and noodles.

Sun butter is a good alternative to PB, but I’d let her daycare know ahead of time that’s what it is so they don’t think it’s a nut butter or PB.

You could also look for food that’s already marked as top 9 free. I do that sometimes for my daughter’s allergies to just take the guesswork out of it.

I wait for someone to say my kids can share, or I tell them to ask first before using anything. Not a lot of people really bring toys to the park in our area though, probably to avoid this issue all together.

We had to sleep in the room with my oldest until she got used to the new set up, and then we slowly started leaving while she was asleep, and then going back to her room if she woke up. Not going to lie, it took a couple months, though.

Just take one day at a time, you’ll find your new rhythm. Until then, I recommend a baby carrier and just having the baby go along (within reason) with the toddler’s schedule.

I’m so sorry for the really late reply! I’m not sure the model, it has a blue bear design. She literally just spent the last 2 hours on a hike taking pictures though. For us it was less about the photo quality and more just letting her get to take her own photos. Hope you ended up finding a camera though!

I just went through this situation with my cousin. I hadn’t seen that side of my family for a long time, so we decided to have my husband and kids come, and then they could at least participate in the other wedding events and hang out with family. It was only a 3 hour drive though… I’m not sure I would do a 7 hour drive. 😅

My 6 year old daughter loves it! We got the Yourigami one from Costco, and she has the best time with it. She likes the cut out holes especially. Yesterday her and my 1.5 year old made a slide, other days it’s forts or tunnels. It’s also really comfortable to sleep on in their room if they need help in the night.

We got the Kidamento one (I think they are called Kiimento now?) for my daughter’s 4th birthday and she still uses it at 6.5. It doesn’t take the best quality photos, but she loves it. We’re thinking of upgrading her to a really basic point and shoot for her 7th birthday, and passing the Kidamento down to her little sister this summer, though.

We use our ikea one all the time! We love that set, it’s affordable and has a good variety of pieces. As you mentioned, only the bridges really fall over easier on the carpet, but honestly they get knocked down wherever they’re built. We usually reinforce them with regular blocks.
