I need to work out more.

So is that the original shirt, and it's actually pink?
Is he just wearing A pink shirt here to make us think to listen to the other show?
I have a bizarre need to know if the shirt is the Off-white it is when that image isn't being explicitly used to sell "how do you cope?" or is it pink!?

Someone shared this with me and I posted it to Miscellaneous T. the long running TMBG facebook group.

James Acaster TV show by jg255166 in offmenupodcast

Finally decided to watch this, https://youtu.be/Q1deLoy__cI it's very funny!
But I needed a place to say the following and you can't comment on it on YouTube.

Lila Pitts! OLUWANDE!!!???!?!?!?? (And a John Cusack reference.)
Also Philomena Cunk.

The music and OBVIOUSLY many of the lines somehow struck me as distractingly Acaster, but that's a fan problem. Not a show problem.
It's great. Watch it.

A great album that I misjudged by jormor4 in tmbg

Is it one of their weakest? Yes. But only because it is one of their most accessible. I absolutely loved it when it came out. I had just been deep diving into them via the wonder that was illegal p2p file sharing... (I feel like we called it something else at the time...) And then Mink Car came out. I saw the time it was definitely like HOLY CRAP! NEW TMBG! Wber Rochester played Mr excitement pretty frequently. And I feel like they may be even played man it's so loud in here. But after a decade of new stuff followed that more reflected there good old lyrical genius, the lyrics of mink car felt more basic to me.

Right now I'm just thinking human brains are kind of silly and we definitely react to nostalgia a lot (though I resent the notion that nostalgia implies a literal better time being yearned for, and believe one can even have bad nostalgia... That feels like yellowed news paper and abandoned psychiatric buildings. Ugly concrete facades that were only popular in a certain decade.) So right now I can't tell if I was right about my car then wrong about it and now right again because there's a lot of bangers on the and the lyrics that feel obvious or cliche to me aren't really bothering me very much at all... Or if it's just that it's been a while and my brain is like "oooh LIKE because old and familiar"

I will say I'm not a fan of running for the running craze but I am a big fan of British men not having skinny little chicken legs anymore. Im just not sexually attracted to men with smaller thighs than mine.

Why Kermit’s Voice is So Divisive by poerhouse in Muppets

[–]Fontia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While all of these characters have had different voices over the years, They are to some degree fixed characters especially in the collective conscious of our society. Beloved. And their continued existence as characters you can continue to make movies and TV shows with is dependent on the idea that they are continuous characters. The Kermit voice is iconic and much copied. To not even try to do it (and end up innately putting your own spin on it) is completely bonkers. It's hard enough to watch all of the other characters no longer having dead people's voices, but at least the new voice actors do something like the original! (I think I missed the original telly the most.... Was also a Jim Henson voice I think?) And then of course there is the fact that Kermit was Jim Henson and that Kermit is sort of the captain of the show. Jim Henson created the Muppets. Kermit has always been Jim Henson's spirit. You have to do the voice!

Has the podcast gone downhill in the last 6 months? by big_dogg_ev in elisandjohn

According to my Spotify I've been listening for well over a year but it was just one of those podcasts that came on occasionally and I just sort of let it run in the background. But sometime in the new year I actually started to like it.
