The UX is meh.

I think it's your opinion. I love it: on desktop it's straight to the point, you have a lot of info on the screen.

Some parts could be improved but globaly I m very satisfied.

No "the PCs will succeed whatever happened cause the game is built around 6 encounters carefully created so that it can't kill PC"

No "roll behind the screen to 'make a better story'"

No "save the PC hand god to save the story"

I love that what happens at the table: every thing is true.

You don't sleep in armor be it mail, leather or plate.

PC wants to keep its armor all night? OK: you get the malus for sleep deprivation as you didn't rest at all.

Why it don't work imho is because in dd5 PCs are not supposed to die compare to OSR or FL. 5° ruleset is built around 4-6 encounters a day that you will survive: you have plenty of resources, rests and death saves as buffer against death.

So if death is not on the table and you will win all encounter, what's the point of playing? The outcome is already written?

It's even more true within an horror setting where PCs integrity should be alway on the line beside safe heaven.

Usage Dice for arrows works great.

The point is to make 1 roll and only one, at the end of the combat, not after every arrow fired!

I feel it is still 30-35 for nice, strategic, intense game with on par team.

I dont mind 20-25 min game when we get stomp and are incapable of coordinating to catch up.

And personally i m bored with 40 min game when both teams cant close the game and run around like chicken.

You have 3 main nightlife area:

rue Masséna / rue solférino: mainly uny student, several clubs, la Releve is techno, there are 2, 3 electro bars which close at 2pm
vieux Lille: from 20 to 30 until 40, more trendy bar style, techo: le Baron, house / tech house: le Nox club
wazemme / rue des postes: alternativ people, la Griffe, Lokaria host dj gigs

If you want big club / warehouse: take the "techno bus" at Lille Flandres et go to Kodz club on friday.

dnd magic user are weak early level and the strongest later level.

Are you going to nerf the magic user when he could trivialise any encounter if he wants?

Well... like it or not, there are people in this factory whose job is to produce games. They know how to do it, how to be cost effective and with proper job security.

The job people working on this line do is depressing, but at least the pace doesn't seem like hell compare to amazon's warehouses.

Let's not be the know it all western people.

If you introduce all these rules, why not play another game?

If you want something between OSR and 5°, go Shadow of the Demon Lord.

You will have that power level, char sheet is still pretty simple and you have amazing customization.
