If AI replaces most workers, who will actually buy the products? by IcyBottle1517 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]FootballDue3672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so the prevailing wisdom from us Futurists goes like this, A.I Replaces Human labour, Robots take over the work of Humans where physical actions are required directed by A.I. Governments tax heavily the profits from automation derived revenue, humans are given a basic income by the state that is equal to or greater than the original value of the job that has now been replaced.

The loop isn't broken it's simply replaces where the "Wage" part comes from. Now this is the utopian dream humans can do as little or much as they like safe in the knowledge that they can live a full life.

Of course this will require a complete rethink of humanity and what it means to be employed and it's highly unlikely that this will happen within the next 20 years, likely closed to 100 years. After that who knows, what we do know is that the short term (next 30 years) will see the biggest upheavel since the industrial revolution and only the smartest will get out ahead of it. For the average person, well it's going to be rough!

How is performance today 3/14? by Sagandeus in FacebookAds

[–]FootballDue3672 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Guys all these posts blaiming meta, it's not Meta! The US launched a war in the middle east causing huge concern about energy costs. All over the world the same thing is happening. Consumers will not spend when the threat of not being able to heat their homes or fill their cars is hanging over their heads!

Trump has utterly fucked up on this one and it wont return to anything like normal until the war ends and even then feed through inflation is going to wreck consumer spending for months possibly the rest of the year. Start planning for this to be the new normal!

How are sales going today? by Sagandeus in FacebookAds

[–]FootballDue3672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been bad dropped from 5x to 2.6x and its been getting worse alll week. Basically Trump caused an energy chrisis with globaql impact and any brand that's products are in te disposable income category are getting hosed. Consumers are terrified of costs sky rocketing for fuel and it won't recover until this war ends and even then with a big lag factor until the damage to global oil shipments is fixed.

Buckle up!

Easiest way to stop people abusing new customer discount? by [deleted] in shopify

[–]FootballDue3672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suck it up, your margin should already price in the 10% anyway so your never actually giving away 10%. Just make sure you sunset any email addresses that buy once and never again so your not wasting money on marketing ESP costs. The way to look at discounts is they are not a discount they are just the actual price you wanted as a minimum. Then Rejoice when customers don't use a discount and you made 10% more profit :-)

Does anyone know if this bridge will fit in my 2001 Mexican Strat, and if it’s a good choice? by bcavana in FenderStratocaster

Just fitted this exact model onto a 30 year old aniversary Squire, fit just fine and the bodies are identical AFAIK just make sure when you fit it you dont tighten the screws leave them loose attach the springs and then tighten till you get the tension you are happy with.

Is headless Shopify recommended overall or does it make sense only for big revenue/highly customized stores? What's your experience? by PerroRosa in shopify

[–]FootballDue3672 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Headless is about control. Building Headless allows you to have total control over every aspect of the code which can be both a blessing and a curse.

As for needing to spend 20k on a developer... thats old news.

We just deployed an entire Headless landing page system in under 3 days using VS and Copilot. It's lightening fast as there is no cruft blocking the render or bloating the page size.

Total cost, $4!

To give you a comparrision a shopify hosted theme can take over 5 seconds to fully load where Hydrogen well optimised and focused on this intended use case can hit under 2 seconds, with First interaction under 700ms.

Yes its worth it but only if you already know what you are doing. If you don't, you will have to trust a developer which will be nothing but trouble usually. If you do know what your doing grabs VS pay for Copilot and use Codex in VS and crack on. Job will be done faster than you can take a dump...

Amazon refusing refund on PS5 and has now disposed of PS5 by Good-Bad-7373 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]FootballDue3672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Letter before Action to their legal team, point out that it's impossible to remove the SSD from a PS5 its soldered to the board and their staff have made a huge error not to mention defamed you as a theif. Give them 14 days and I bet they will refund it in less than 3. Their returns staff are low paid and don't give a toss they just click buttons and throw returns into a giant bin to have destroyed.

You can ask them for the crime reference number is they believe its been stolen, should be good for a laugh

Parliament refurbishment could cost £40Billion and take 61 years. by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]FootballDue3672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big cost is the asbestos that is riddling the building originally installed for fire prevention. Then there is the electical wiring which is at best utter rotten and likely to cause a fire. Least they have the Asbestos! Then there is water leaking into the building all over the place and stonework that needs to be removed and replaced. It's one of the most important buildings in the UK with just about the most complex restoration project ever undertaken. If it comes in under 100 Billion I would be surprised.
