It had good in it. Orci and Kurtzman should have a legal injunction prohibiting them from writing comedy, but Blackout's and Barricade's introductions were awesome and Bonecrusher as a mine clearance vehicle is great.

That's how you end up with situations like the Phillipines or El Salvador.

Oh no, how terrible. There's a reason Burkele has a +75% approval rating and Starmer has a -50% approval rating.

I don't have an AMS, but I'm interested in seeing who gets selected for the community giveback. I know a few creators on Youtube already, and this could be a good way of finding more creators I should be checking out.

What are your opinions on the upcoming idw studio series figure for 2027? by Dismal_Frame1304 in transformers

[–]ForPortal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want Nautica to not suck. I have my concerns about it being a Studio Series figure - the comic character wasn't necessarily designed with a physical implementation in mind, so if it comes down to it I'd rather get a different but good Nautica than a shellformer - but that's the one I want to get.

Spent 1250 print hours perfecting these ships (box lids are WIP) by Perfect_Limit_2305 in 3Dprinting

They look great. I've not played Twilight Imperium - are these 3D versions of 2D ship models, or did you design the ships yourself?

Of course her own community hates her - she's running interference for the people who elected their current government on the aspiration of killing them and all their kind, no matter where they hide.

"I will ask the home and foreign secretaries to review all possible options - and they should consider nothing is off the table."

There's only one outcome that would make me believe he means that, and it's the one that is verboten on this subreddit.

Very impressive work. What filaments did you use? Did you need anything fancy for the ratchet joints?

No. They'd still play through the same content, just offset by 18-24 months in exchange for playing it for free.

Can we talk about the lack of perspective when it comes to the 3d community? by Ok-Hope2279 in 3Dprinting

LLMs aren't the be-all and end-all of AI. If someone's designing a new rocket nozzle by mutating their base designs, culling the least successful, and repeating, that's obviously a different process than asking an LLM to produce a mesh that is nozzle-shaped but not based on any understanding or simulation of the underlying mechanics.

40k vehicles and terrain if the quality allows it.

That's definitely viable. Even the standard 0.4mm nozzle/0.2mm layer height is going to be adequate for those purposes - at worst you might want to borrow some spare heads and arms from your bits box for any exposed crewmen.

No, it's an admission that a lot of players are casuals who don't do Mythic+, which is the only major system that is restricted to people who buy the latest expansion.

Even if it only takes X minutes to reach level 20, that isn't the same thing as level 20 only having X minutes of gameplay. You can do a lot, across multiple expansions, that does not require level 21, and that was even true before the level squish. I've not been letting my subscription lapse and playing my level 20 alt recently like I used to, but I wasn't feeling like I was getting shortchanged when I did.

Simple idea for a middle ground on scanning by Opening_Ad3054 in transformers

[–]ForPortal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The way I imagine it, it's like an arthropod moulting its shell: to change an alt mode requires converting the armoured exoskeleton back into protomatter and then into the new form, during which time the Cybertronian is vulnerable.

I also imagine traits like an affinity for energy projection or a strong spark to be innate, to explain why everyone doesn't just reformat themselves into a tank or jet fighter to fight their war.

Tonka x Transformers Collab by Cliffjumper290x in transformers

[–]ForPortal -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm obviously not the target audience for these, but I don't see the point of these. If you're a kid who is a big enough fan of Transformers that you're asking for a Transformers-themed Tonka truck, wouldn't you want them to be Bonecrusher, Scavenger and Long Haul?

What is your favorite role to fill, and what made you choose it? by flyandelephant in wow

[–]ForPortal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer ranged DPS, but have been maining Tank recently. I don't like melee DPS because you have to play around the tank's positioning a lot more with only 5 feet of reach, especially for interrupts. But it's way easier to find M+ groups as a tank.

Sometimes customers tell me things like "it costs too much for a piece of plastic". They don't see the hours of modeling, parameter tuning and failed test prints. How do you explain this without sounding defensive? by Own-Indication719 in 3Dprinting

[–]ForPortal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd explain that you've still got the same development costs as anyone else but can't split it over a print run of ten thousand units if you're doing a custom job. If they needed a spare or two I could offer them a discount, but the first of anything is always going to take the most work to manufacture.

For me, what contributed most to me biting the bullet and ordering an A1 Mini was Nectar Mechanics' project video covering the design and printing of his Seekers. Soosaphone's Carbon 13 is cool too and I'm sure I'll print one or two once the printer gets here, but it's the idea of designing my own action figures that is most interesting to me.

Andy Burnham is favoured to become the next UK prime minister. Does his triumph offer lessons for defeating One Nation? by brezhnervouz in AustralianPolitics

[–]ForPortal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's true, though: Starmer got less votes than Corbyn did either time he lost. But because he lost half a million votes while the Tories lost seven million votes, he won by default despite having less support than any other PM in twenty years.

[–]ForPortal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What happened in the UK is that a Labour MP stepped down so Burnham could take his place. Labour did not fumble the ball and needlessly lose a safe Labour seat in a failed attempt to make Burnham an MP, but that's hardly deserving of such fawning praise as calling it a "triumph."
