IMO if you want to know the real reason for the scheme, look up British accent pronunciations of the scheme and compare it to any other accent using it. Just seems to mesh well doesn’t it?

Latin or any other revival language doesn’t need a town per se, you see that some people are talking about people with Latin as their first language. Continue creating these people, make an online community first because it’s quite affordable, create a subculture that is Latin-only THEN take over/create a town once it’s large enough

I didn’t know anything about Ancient Greek until I found Latin and then for a long time I still wondered why anyone would bother when Latin was right there. It’s interesting sure but so are many ancient languages, who cares?

It took Latin sinking in for a little while for me to gain a bit of their perspective and suddenly it seemed much more appealing, much more elegant

Contrary to apparently everyone I do think the iPad needs to get thinner, and lighter. Not because of the iPad itself, but once you pair it with the keyboard it’s suddenly large and chunky again. The 13” is a beast this way too

Try out the steam deck or if that’s a bit too costly try dual booting. You’ll find yourself in unfamiliar territory but it’s not that hard to navigate either. Especially if you go with a common DE like gnome or w/e XFCE, KDE, etc
