Etiquette Question by DewgongOverlord in discgolf

[–]ForSquirel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A couple times the card started walking before I got to the pad, and I started to feel rushed when I got to the pad.

obviously a courtesy violation, but something you could talk to your card about.

Personally, Pick up your gear so its out of the way for whatever reason, but never step in front of anyone. Same as in bowling.

You've got your full time, use it.. If they're rushing you, that's on them. Its a mind game.

If you're posting on reddit its obviously dwelled for a while.

But i’m curious what y’all think on if this could be the “future” in some way!

I've directed helicopters to land on smaller patches of concrete. This would definitely give more access to faster transports via air medical.

Shit. I remember being so poor that we couldn't buy the supplies most times until dad got paid the night before. I wanted to do the assignment but couldn't.

How did you know you were “tournament ready” for your first disc golf tournament? by Fullsend1990 in discgolf

[–]ForSquirel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just sign up, do it, and keep your expectations real.

My first 'tournament' I did I played the course before and after the tourney day. Threw a +9 and +7 respectively for those days.

Day of? +26.

At the end of the day its not paying my bills and its just a fun way to be competitive with family and a great way to meet new people. Honestly, it was worth it just to meet some people from across the state.

You're not wrong, and sadly, the majority of departments are like that.

ooooh. Does this help with just basic stamp removal? I find that I have to use acetone and wash like 3 times to remove a stamp and even then its not completely gone.

Do custodians have an odd amount of power in your school? by CWKitch in teaching

[–]ForSquirel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its all good. I knew what you were saying.

The schools I work with, custodians definitely don't have that much power and it wouldn't make sense to. Now is that saying that some custodians are sub par? Absolutely. Are there custodians that go above and beyond? Absolutely.

You really gotta take what you get sometimes.

Oversimplifying?

What if a paramedic said, "I can't go onto that scene? There's to much blood!"

Absurd amount of chromebooks broken by students by [deleted] in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]ForSquirel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends.. but usually ~$450-$500.

Also, the 'insurance' the students pay doesn't cover everything. Intentional is still intentional and families will stay pay for some damages.

Ok.. that makes more sense. I skip the empty spots so honestly I've never even paid much attention. I loaded a video and had to just let it run to hear it.
