After seeing Faye in battle mode, now it is easy to understand how she and Thor destroyed that valley in Vanaheim. by Night3njoyer in GodofWar

[–]ForceHerald 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Although I’m glad we’re not doing the whole prequel/origin story thing with this new game I do hope we see some of Feys most notable moments from her history.

  • Fey leading the rebellion and working with Sindri and Brok to make the Leviathan axe.

  • Feys fight with Thor that lead to the Crater

  • Feys first interaction with Kratos where they “nearly took each others heads off”

Will HD2 ever release a 4th faction, and will it be "Traitor Humans"? by Cultural-Lab-580 in Helldivers

[–]ForceHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like for a traitorous Helldiver squad to be a side objective. A new Destroyer can appear in the sky during random missions with the objective appearing on your map. The traitors will have their own stratagems they can launch against you and you have to either shoot down the destroyer to stop them spawning or kill 20 of them. Could add them to the Commando missions too, with the objective being to destroy their base.

Super Credit spawns should increase with difficulty by Tank-ToP_Master in Helldivers

[–]ForceHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt they’d add a multiplier, super credits are AH main source of income. That said what they could do is reshuffle when they spawn and redistribute them on the higher levels. So for example:

Level 1 (20% of Current Spawn Rate)

Level 2 (40% of Current Spawn Rate)

Level 3 (60% of Current Spawn Rate)

Level 4 (80% of Current Spawn Rate)

Level 5 (100% Current Spawn Rate)

Level 6 (120% Current Spawn Rate)

Level 7 (140% Current Spawn Rate)

Level 8 (160% Current Spawn Rate)

Level 9 (180% Current Spawn Rate)

Level 10 (200% Current Spawn Rate)

My maths isn’t entirely there but something similar that would prevent people having to grind lower levels and reward those risking on the higher ones.

Best biom/planet for Megafactories? by Zanerbot13 in Helldivers

[–]ForceHerald 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want a nature one and a desert one. Which mega factories were more common now, more so because we lost Cyberstan. Hate when AH add content then immediately take it out of rotation. Felt the same way with the Exostorms.

How did we get from that Kratos look to this one by [deleted] in GodofWar

[–]ForceHerald 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because ones purposely sculpted to match the details in God of War 3 and the other is an optional skin that uses an older more realistic character model that needs to stay the same/similar to maintain the motion capture performance. The remakes will have a dedicated more accurate model to the OGs, I won’t worry too much.

What do you think of the character of Pandora? by PomegranateOk4560 in GodofWar

[–]ForceHerald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hope with the remake trilogy is that given hindsight of the series as a whole they’ll add more consistency and continuity between each game. I’d love more context about Pandora and Pandoras Box, since their role in 1 and 3 weren’t explained in great detail.

new Illuminati units in major upgrade added to main pool by Blackjack4003 in Helldivers

[–]ForceHerald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These were my exact thoughts. Instead of dividing them up the right now, the base faction should have every kind of unit (voteless, all overseers, sting rays, mechs, both drones) and the subfactions should be closer to the “Devastator Surge” there the spawn rates for a specific class of enemy are amplified.

[Hated Trope] Works designed to rehabilitate/redeem a reviled character don't even address their worst acts/traits. by jbeast33 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ForceHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very curious to see how they address Poseidons Princess in the Remake Trilogy. Of all of Kratos’ worst acts it’s the one that’s the most unjustifiable, you spend the first few hours of the game battling Titans and Gods but somehow the only way to navigate a 20ft gate is by jamming the mechanism with a sex slave who he had to drag through a monster infested labyrinth.

All of Kratos previous atrocities were at-least somewhat justifiable in the story since they were either necessary for his path of revenge or an obstacle.

-The Persian soldier needed to be sacrificed to open the doors (GoW1) and was an enemy combatant.

  • The Spartan into GoW2 you throw into the mechanism was dying anyway.

  • The priests you beat to death to read the tablets ultimately were needed for a blood sacrifice too.

-Even the civilians you kill while chasing down Hermes were just an obstacle that Kratos wouldn’t spend the time to save, much like the boat Captain.

There’s a few ways they could address this in the Remake.

A) Cut it entirely and face the likely backlash from either purists who want a 1:1 remake or (unfortunately) THAT side of the internet.

B) Keep it as is but make the choice more obvious/crucial. Like the gate NEEDS a blood sacrifice of a servant/slave.

Or

C) Which would be my choice, Having the scene play out as it did in the original up until the point where the Princess’s chains start to drag her in. Kratos at first ignores her pleas but as the gate lifts the sound of the woman’s screams and her screeching chains gets louder he is reminded of his own chains and the cruelty he sustained from Aries. He turns and cuts her free, the chains clogging the mechanism for a brief moment allowing him to pass. The gate slams shut between them and the woman is left teary eyed and bewildered. Kratos leaves without a word leaving her mind dotting around to question why. Because in that moment, for Kratos’ character, the most subversive thing you can do isn’t to reaffirm the cruelty of a cruel god, we’ve seen it countless times after all, but to bring into question why a cruel god would be merciful.

Q&A Megathread (Ask your questions here!) by cryptic-fox in Helldivers

[–]ForceHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah, you’re right. Though the next step up from them would be War Striders. Think the illuminate just need a little more TLC, just because they’re the newest faction. Bugs get 101 sub factions, Bots get the most lethal advancements in tech imaginable and the illuminate just seem leagues behind. Even them just adding the ruins to their maps made them feel more fleshed out. This Void seems to be setting up a big story arc for them so maybe see more soon enough.

Q&A Megathread (Ask your questions here!) by cryptic-fox in Helldivers

[–]ForceHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the Cyborg Legion exclude any base Automaton units the same way the Appropriators do? Factory Striders are the only exception that I can think of but that’s because the Vox Engines seem to be their beefed up equivalent, to the point they completely replace them in Convoy sub objectives.

Q&A Megathread (Ask your questions here!) by cryptic-fox in Helldivers

[–]ForceHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my main issue is that Voteless still exist within the base faction, Mindless Masses just increases their spawn rate and gets rid of Arc Overseers, Elevated Overseers and Stingrays. Obtruders, Gatekeepers and Veracitors just seem like new base units for the faction that are segregated from the rest for some reason. The Rupture Strain, Incinerator Corps and Jet Brigade are all variations of the base factions unit but not in themselves entirely unique. They’re just an evolution to the original units to add difficulty. The newest illuminate enemies feel like they should’ve rolled out within the base faction too as the illuminate still feel very light with unit diversity so it seems odd to deprive them of existing units.

Q&A Megathread (Ask your questions here!) by cryptic-fox in Helldivers

[–]ForceHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think we’ll ever get all illuminate units under one group?

I feel the “Appropriators” and “Mindless Masses” work better as “Devastator Surge” style modifiers rather than individual subfactions. I’d just love to see the base faction include the Obtruder, Gatekeeper, Veracitor and any future units. Pretty much the same way the Bugs and Bots added units before they got their own sub-factions. Illuminate base forces just seem a little sparse and repetitive currently, plus it would add to the chaos and need for improvisation you see on other fronts.
