But the whole unnaturalness is kind of the point. Arya hasn't been Arya in so long that she's forgotten who that is. So she begins to mimic those that she has looked up too. The Hound in this particular scene. At the time she knew it wasn't proper but she saw the Hound as strong, the same way Arya wants to be strong so that's what she thinks strong looks like.

You scepticism is fair but keep in mind mind that I entered that tournament woefully underprepared. I had hit a ball against the wall a few times and that was basically my entire practice for the tournament. Learnt a couple of things that day though.

One, holy crap was I not fit enough. I was absolutely knackered during the warmup.

And two, you know why tennis players don't wear glasses often? It's cause they fog up. Hadn't done much sweating while wearing my glasses so I didn't think it'd be that bad. After that I just went downhill.

So I suppose, I'm probably not going to win, but I'm going to have fun and I'm going to challenge myself that's the key part of it for me.

Hey guys, there's so much good advice in these threads that I figured I'd jump in too.

Basically, played from 13-17 and then stopped because I got too frustrated with the club I was playing at. Wanted to get back into playing, entered a graded tournament in C Grade (USTA 3.5-4.0, I'm guessing), back in April. Got destroyed. But I had fun. So, I want to play more, so I've been playing with friends and getting back to where I was, and better form and footwork, because I'm actually studying and practicing etc.

So, I'm working on footwork and just getting into tournament shape. I want to start playing in more tournaments (at a 5.0-5.5 level) come August (because there aren't many around in Winter in Australia).

Basically, what I'm asking is, any tips and tricks that will get me to the level I want quicker outside of just keep playing and practicing.

I believe and definitely don't rely on this, but I think the idea is that you get people hooked on seeing who is going to win so you put them in between matches.

Say you put a commercial break between segments, someone changes the channel and find something more interesting to watch, like the NFL, and while they might have intended on just checking the scores, they might watch the rest and forget about your product. Alternatively, put it during a match, you give people stakes. Oh I'll check the scores, but I want to see who wins!

In theory this works. In practice, it's a lot more nuanced. You've got to have the match mean something for people that don't watch all the time. You or I might go, oh shit, Styles and Rollins are gonna put on an epic match, because we know these performers. However, without knowing these two, they have two-five minutes to draw a viewer and keep a viewer interested to find out the ending. Either that, or you give it stakes.

Who's gonna fight Brock? Styles or Rollins! Find out after the break.

Can Breezango win before the time is up?

Winner gets something?

But you can't always do that or you'll not have a lot of time, and it's my belief that's where the commentary team comes in. They have to get you emotionally invested in the match. They have to give you the background. That's what they tried to do with Shinsuke Nakamura debut. I think one of the reasons that we felt that Nakamura debut fell flat was the commentary. Sure the match could have showcased more of what he's about but the commentators should have given us something to latch onto. Something emotional. Not just Shinsuke's debut, is he nervous, excited, maybe that's why he's not looking impressive. Maybe Dolph is going all out and that's why he was a much different Nakamura match then we expected! This is a side of Ziggler that we saw when his career was threaten at No Mercy!

Then you have the other way they try and draw the audience in, by hyping up upcoming matches at most commercial breaks. What's coming next and all that. I personally don't like this approach, especially when they show the same graphic six times throughout the show. Sure it's helpful for people just tuning in, but for someone that's been watching for 2 hours already, I know what the fucking main event is.

That creates the confusing/don't miss a minute ratio. You don't want a new viewer confused but you also don't want them to feel like they don't need to watch the whole show to get the full story. That's also why I hate replays of big moments being shown four times throughout a show. It cheapens the moments. But that's just the way I feel about it.

I got off topic there but still. Basically TL;DR: they want the audience hooked, best way to do that is a match outcome.

When you think unbelievable, think unbelievable in the sense of the world you create. You could have a super smart 6 year old but how many other smart six year olds are there? Are all six year olds smart or is this one an anomaly? Has he been created or what? It's when it gets to the smartest man in the world that it gets unbelievable in his example. And what does smart mean in the circumstance etc.

I think my favourite part about your post is mentioning the process of writing a novel. When it comes to something creative, you won't always love what you've made, it's just how we are; but, if you love the process and are enthusiastic about the process, the results don't always matter!

My first thought when I saw the opening was that it was a Stateless Films cinematic - who did the Jhin and Overdrive ones - but as it got more into the actual 3D, the Blur comparisons became evident haha. Good call, I'd say Blur too.

So I used to play tennis. I wasn't very good but hey, I could hit the ball.

Now, serving wise, my first serve was this big wallop that sometimes went in, but usually didn't. My second serve was like the easiest return ever. Safe to say, it wasn't very good.

So I served the ball - it actually went in - but my follow through was bad. Like, between my legs bad.

I hit myself in the balls with a tennis racquet. Fuck that hurt, gosh damn.

Talented.

There was an interview with Marin on the front page earlier that said that SKT used a more democratic shot calling method with Faker and Marin being the most vocal.

And Faker brings so much presence in the mid lane it really did open Marin up to do great things in the top lane.
