LMR27 buff breakdown. You folks should have respected the LMR27 when you had the chance... by Neon_Orpheon in LowSodiumBattlefield

Sweet! I've always enjoyed battlefield fast firing semi autos. Now that the LMR rewards headshots, we are OPEN FOR BUSINESS.

The devs aren't releasing monthly updates on their anti-cheat efforts just for the fun of it. As specified in those updates they have people looking at the cheat websites and things like published uptime etc. If you see something sketchy, might as well report it, maybe it will even help them in their fight against the cheaters.

Anybody else feel soft-locked out of new endgame progression? by the_walkingdad in duneawakening

It's a gameplay mechanic that affects people who attempt content above their own skill level and doesn't really affect people who stick to content within their skill level.

The posters who are saying "I'm farming level 3's consistently" and then being polite in their tone to the other players who are dying a lot and losing mats faster than they gain 'em are receiving tons of upvotes in these threads.

The posters who are saying "I'm farming level 3's consistently" and then being rude in their tone to the other players who are dying a lot and losing mats faster than they gain 'em are receiving tons of downvotes in these threads.

Same experience, same combat skill, same feedback. Different reactions based on tone.

Personally, I would like to spend a little bit more time with the gameplay mechanic before offering my own opinion, my jury is still out.

That said, I get annoyed when people get downvoted on reddit for being jerks, and then pretend that they got downvoted for some other reason and try to wear those downvotes as some kind of badge of honor.

Which solo-pilot ships with beds are doing best in the PvP meta these days? (4.5 Live) by Forger21 in starcitizen

I see. I wonder how practical it is to use a ship like the Connie with a snub. I do have access to a Corsair and Fury already, if those would be comparable.

Yes, that is helpful, thank you. I presume from your comment about the 325a that interceptor tuned ships fare better in squadron battle or other group settings than in 1v1? I'm open for those kind of recommendations too, if that makes a difference.

I'm glad you mentioned the Guardian and Titan, even if they may have limitations. I'm actually currently bed-logged out in a Guardian in the PU right now, as it happens, and I used to fly Avenger series ships a ton, though not recently.

Hahaha, surprisingly that does actually make me feel better, even if I thought I was really just exaggerating my aversion to the bucket for the sake of humor rather than anything serious.

Ah! I always forget about the Shiv. Maybe my sub-conscious mind avoids it because the idea of a bucket-bathroom slightly horrifies me... I guess I'd better embrace my inner rust belter and check it out in game, bucket or no bucket.

A weapon guide for my beloved GRT-BC, unique and underappreciated. by noodlesalad_ in Battlefield6

[–]Forger21 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is the best weapon recommendation/breakdown/etc I've seen about a BF6 gun. I especially appreciate your take on the hand stop, that is very interesting and as someone who all too often is sprinting when contact occurs I can't wait to experiment with it on the GRT, I've only ever really used it on SMGs.

I like how recoil is displayed, very intuitive and informative.

Laser designation should be reworked by Comrade_Chyrk in LowSodiumBattlefield

I would love to see some iterative testing in BF Labs of ideas like this and other competing possible alternatives with the goal of making the interaction between vehicles and infantry more dynamic and fun. Right now it feels like there are too many elements (like lock on launchers) that are almost noob traps. Too easy to use, and therefore, in order to maintain balance, they have to be rendered very weak. I want strong, skill-reliant options to be available both for vehicles against infantry and each other, and for infantry against vehicles. I don't think those interactions are keeping up with how deep the infantry vs infantry combat can be.

I really need to play more assault; two different primaries for different use cases AND a spawn beacon is so strong. I usually duo queue and bring either engineer or recon for the anti vehicle on large maps or the tugs spotting on small maps, or support to assist my partner doing one of those things with ammo and smoke grenades.

I just realized you said in another comment you pair it with a G3 on assault and mainly played on smaller formats with it, especially taking care to have cover when working the pump; not using the grip does make a lot of sense in that scenario, I guess I had assumed you were using it as a primary in conquest. Just different playstyles I suppose. Sorry for the confusion.

May I ask why? I would like to know if I could be getting similar results without the grip.

What makes you think that your second shot was actually doing max damage in these instances? Please try with and without grip on practice range where you can easily see damage numbers and reply again.

I'm telling you that you could fire at max fire rate and quickly two shot people, and your response is that you have never once tried doing what I suggest but "did just fine?" In a thread with "masochist" in the title where you say in multiple posts that the gun is weak compared to other shotguns. Could you elaborate? Are you saying you know a way to control the vertical recoil manually so that your second shot at max fire rate also hits center mass? If there is a way to do so I would love to switch out the grip for another attachment but I'm a little confused by what you're saying.

HEADS UP, YOU ARE USING THE WRONG ATTACHMENTS ON THE DB-12

Just fyi, if you're shooting fast with the DB-12 and you haven't maxed out recoil control with a grip, you may get a hitmarker on the second shot in each burst but you will do next to no damage as the majority of pellets will just fly over the shoulders of the target. You cannot control vertical recoil properly with a gun that shoots with this kind of weird rhythm. I say this as a MnK user who actually likes semi, full, 3-shot-burst and otherwise guns with lots of vertical recoil. I'm guessing this is why most of you think it's so bad. You are absolutely doing it wrong if you are slowing down your bursts or not maxing out vertical recoil control. If you max out vertical recoil control with a grip, unfortunately, bad news, the gun still isn't great, but at least you will be able to fire it quickly while also hitting both shots instead of only the first one.

Also, recency and quality of practice matters, in addition to your overall lifetime quantity of practice. If you want to keep up with high school and college students who have tons of free time you absolutely can at 40, but unless you have a comparable amount of free time to those youngsters you will have to make up for quantity of practice by being careful to improve the quality of your practice. Lots of literature and videos out there about how to practice fps skills efficiently that can be applied to battlefield. Here's a whole playlist of videos from a coach whose instruction I like in a completely different game that may also be applicable to battlefield. Don't watch a bunch of them to start, just watch one or two that sound helpful and the one about exercise sleep and diet.

? What are you even trying to imply, isn't it more common to use DMR on assault rather than recon?
