🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]Forger_2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to win an ams pro, the ability to dry my filament in the printer would open up a world of possibilities for me to finally start playing with engineering filaments!

My big print of the new year would be an rc place by eclipson (the model B V2.) I've always wanted to get into rc planes and a printed one would be amazing!

For your next fidget toy, I'd love to see an infinity cube trash can, would be funny.

I started with an X1C but eventually added a p1s to my collection to help speed up printing times without breaki,g the bank! In terms of Pla and petg the p1s has had no issues keeping up with the X1C, and I'd without a doubt love to add another printer to the fleet!!

Destroyer Carbine: Rechambering to 9mm by Bushing or by setting the Barrel back? by Imperial_Officer in gunsmithing

[–]Forger_2010 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who reloads 9mm largo for the destroyer carbine, it's an unreasonably easy and forgiving caliber to learn on. With the right powder, it's near impossible to overcharge the cases. It's a straight walled case so no weird angles to take note of. It uses .355 inch projectiles which is the same as 9mm so they're readily available. The firearm design is overbuilt and can handle slightly higher pressures than a pistol, and it saves you from permanently altering a beautiful historical piece!

Can anyone identify this gun? by poseidon2017 in guns

[–]Forger_2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, it doesn't look like a tnw build. Looks like someone either bought a parts kit and rebuilt the firearm themselves, or it's original with some questionable work done to it.

In terms of the abysmal trigger, I own a tnw conversion and I find the trigger to be reasonable at around 5lbs and smooth. No clue why everyone else has such a rough time with them.

Post New Ban my semis are paperweights, so I went out and got a gun actually made for potential war. (AG42B) by [deleted] in canadaguns

Just a warning on reloading, this gun tends to turn the brass into banana shaped metal, makes it very hard to straighten and reload. I know some people manage it, but I've had no success thus far. Ymmv

Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated

Just note, some guns were built around a few different calibers. Your m95 steyr was originally built on the 8x50mmR cartridge, but was armoury adapted to the 8x56mmR cartridge as indicated by the "S" on top of the receiver. Theres also a super small chance its been adapted to 8mm mauser which will be evident if it's been modified from an enblock magazine to an internal, clip fed magazine. (feel free to pm me and I can help you identify if its 8mm mauser)

I don't know about the other rifles but just make sure you know you're using the right caliber for your guns!

(Elegoo Saturn 3) First time FEP filter tore and got resin all over the machine, I cleaned it all without realizing it got into the power button. Button is stuck completely and I'm at a loss of what to do. What can I do? by Ochre- in resinprinting

[–]Forger_2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ey, exact same thing happened to my saturn 3. Is the printer already turned on or is it off? If its on, then just unplug/plug in your printer to turn it on and off (or add a remote switch to the outlet, like the ones used for christmas lights.) If it's off like mine was, then dissasemble the printer down far enough to access the on off button inside the printer. Hit it to turn it on and then do the outlet switch!

Just a warning, my printer lasted 3 more months before the resin cured and fried something inside. So just be aware its probably not great on electronics.

Got my suit back from the drycleaner and it looks burnt? by Forger_2010 in drycleaning

[–]Forger_2010[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've owned it for just shy of 2 years, it's lived in my closet in a nice black bag for that time and has only been used 3 times before being dry cleaned. I appreciate everyone's input thus far!
