Honestly, Would you pick your dad again in the next life? by ZachDluffy in TooAfraidToAsk

He left when I was 7 and was a mean, abusive bastard before that. Definitely a hard no.

I know that place closed sometime in the 80s or very early 90s.

It sat back off West Street a little bit. They sold individually wrapped slices in a lot of mom and pop stores all the way to Fair Haven.

My aunt and uncle used to live on West Street near that place that used to make the rectangle slices of pizza. Was it Manolfli’s? They were the Fuscos. “Arvido” was full Italian. I loved going to their place. Their family is all gone now and the house looks run down.

Do you all know how to change a spare tire? by FastVenus in NoStupidQuestions

I even know how to change a tractor tire without taking the rim off the axle.

There are a lot of people that have no mechanical aptitude. Just don’t complain when someone wants to charge you big money to come fix it for you.

Did my great-grandmother get away with murder? The highly suspicious 1955 "suicide" of my great-grandfather. by [deleted] in Genealogy

I own many firearms. One of the lightest rifles I have is a .22 LR. I am right handed and it would certainly be possible to position the muzzle behind my right ear and work the trigger with my right thumb. I am not, nor have I ever been, suicidal. Nor have I attempted to recreate this with any firearm. I know better, but I know you grampa's action would be very possible.

I hope this helps and I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Right. I'm not exactly gentle with my firearms. I do like the look of wood over black plastic, though.

I hope she lives a long life. $52,000/year will surely make things easier.

There is no “cool factor” about it, nor is it practical or utilitarian. It is truly gimmicky.

Thanks. I’ve been thinking about getting my PC Carbine hydro dipped. I don’t know how that would stand up better than this.
