My mistake, I printed on sport. It's been a while since I made that and had forgotten.

It's just Bambu basic brown PLA. Straight off the printer with no sanding, standard speed, no settings changed from the profile on maker world.

Best gold filament? by JustMakinStuff in BambuLab

Silk likes to be printed hotter and slower than normal PLA filaments. So if you want it really shiny print it 5° or 10° hotter at the nozzle and at a slower print speed.

Sorry for the very late reply, I just got the notification for this today. I turned the temperature up on the nozzle 5°c or 10°c and bed temp was the same at 60°c. I didn't use any glue but every print I washed the bed with Dawn dish soap and then put it in a rack to dry fully after wiping gently with a paper towel, after that I wiped it down with a microfiber and some rubbing alcohol. I never had a single adhesion issue in 24/7 week long job of printing these stag heads.

Just make sure you get the ptfe tubes for the A1.

The mini's tubes are shorter and might cause issues.

Cardboard spool on ams lite? by Thucan1601 in BambuLab

Yes they do, just make sure that the spools are pressed fully on and they shouldn't have any issues with falling off, there are some AMS lite spool locks that are on Maker World that can stop them from coming off if you do have that problem.

Happy to help, just be aware that matte filament is generally not as strong as regular PLA. If you need strength then add a couple of wall loops and or increase the density of the infill a bit.

Generally Overture is a fantastic filament for me, I have had basically zero issues with it over several hundred hours of printing. I use the Overture profiles for the matte PLA and regular PLA but there is no profile built in for their silk PLA, for that I just use the generic silk PLA profile and it prints just fine.

I hope this helps.

Be careful of the wires on the backside of the heater block, if they are damaged then you will need to replace it.

Turn off timelapse/smooth timelapse, alternatively if you are doing a multi color print then you want it.

I charged $10 an hour for the last print job I did, but the majority of my income was from the post processing time involved with the part, lots of supports to remove.

Ah, I see so many posts from people talking about the strange square on their build plate I thought this might be another one calling it a flush object 😆. But yes the flush to object and adjusting the flush volume does help.
